07 Type S Body Side Molding or No?

Hey guys i just got an 07 Type-S in NBP w/ the silver/ebony seats. I'm wondering what your take is on the body side molding for the car. I know that it can save the car from some door dings, but i don't know if it's worth putting on my car. I'm not sure if the car will still look so sharp with it. Gimme your thoughts or on this and whether you guys think I should get it.

I personally did not get it because I don't like the way it looks, I like it just the way it is.

This topic has been discussed before- the molding does not guarantee against a door ding as you will be parking next to vehicles of varying size and height. The best defense is to park carefully (I usually try to park in a spot near a curb within a lot, or at the end of a row of spaces so only 1 side of the car has potential exposure to another car door, and even if doing this, I try to park as close to the curb edge as possible to allow more room between cars on the other side. Also, don't park next to 2 door cars, as the doors are longer and have to be opened more for the owner to exit.

I mulled the idea of the moldings, didn't get them, and haven't looked back. The cars lines are much cleaner w/o them.

This topic has been debated numerous times. What it comes down to is a matter of preference. There are a number of threads regarding this, run a search on it. There is also a picture thread and you can decide for yourself if it's for you.

Stay tuned for the next BSM "yea or nae" thread coming to Acurazine in October of 2009....

This debate has always humored me, as do the comments that they add no dent protection.. Sure, it comes down to personal taste, but the fact remains - they "will" protect you from many car door mishaps (not all, but many). So if you don't mind the looks the protection is just a bonus.

I like the TL with or without them. I have them and still park in the "next state" (ie - BFE) depending on the location...

Personally, when I see a TL without BSM's it looks strange. Although, if I didn't have them, TL's with them would look strange..

Lastly, if you do decide to purchase either now or later, buy online and install yourself!!
