07 Type-S Aspec rear lip on a 04

I know its been done before and there have even been a few threads on here.

I just wanted to keep this one as simple as possible on the topic.

I just got a great deal on one and am wondering if there are any tips from the 3 (i think) members who have done this.

What exactly do I have to cut out of the rear bumper?

Should I be worried about any clearance issues with the stock exhaust? (I plan on keeping the stock one and spraying the tips black)

Are there any tabs on the stock bumper that serve the purpose of support that need to be cut?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

what i did with mine was replace the bumper itself. In other words i bought the type s bumper and rear lip too. the bumper is actually cheaper than the lip.

the rear lip comes painted not the bumper. If u know shops they can hook u up with a good price on the paint. To be honest it didnt cost much.

The exhaust opening is too big for the stock 04-06 tips. It would look weird IMO. Are you interested in doing some minor modifications and fitting my 07 TL-S catback exhaust to your 04? My exhaust is for sale on the black market for 350 and i live close to you. :P

Edit: the exhaust has the stage 2 exhaust mod and it sounds mean. I deleted the mid muffler and replaced the resonator with the dynomax one. I have stock parts in my garage too.

im guessing hes talking to me.

350 for a stock exhaust is a bit much. i would be interested if it was cheaper though. and im not even sure if it just bolts up does it?
