07 tl type s vs 09 E90 335i

mods during the race are billy boat jpipe, 3rd cat delete, and atlp v1 nonresonated catback. 335i is bone stock. I have 1 passenger, 335i has 2 passengers. outcome was approx what I expected. in my 2nd gear, he would pull on me, 3rd gear I can somewhat keep up due to my long gearing all the way to 109mph, of course the infamous 4th gear causes me to fall way out of my powerband and instantly fall behind.

Nice vids. Would be interesting to see how a 6SPD TL-S fairs considering how well your auto did.

No you can't keep up with a 335i with your 3rd gear. Long gear doesn't make your TL go faster. It don't work that way. Yes, 4th gear the car will fall on its face.

You got da wrong car to begin modding with. Go git a stick! right NAO

of course the infamous 4th gear causes me to fall way out of my powerband and instantly fall behind.
Go get a 6 spd TL or S2000.... So many idiots buy TL 5AT thinking it's all day cause it's an Acura.

vroom vroom?

Why? I gave an honest opinion and is true how slow the regular TL is.. it's not my fault you got the wrong car. Back then you didn't know how slow the auto TL is.... should have done more research! LOL

^ A modded 5AT Type S with 1 passenger keeping up with (Disclaimer: Didn't watch the vids yet) a bone stock 335i with 2 passengers is more believable than your IS pulling over a bus on a 5.0 Coyote.

it's not.... The automatic TL has weakness in all range of speeds, from 0 to triple digits.

than your IS pulling over a bus on a 5.0 Coyote.
I did pull good bus length from dig. He was slightly less prepared I guess. But he did start catching up before I shut down at well over 100.

Are you still driving your Accord? Have you changed the car yet? It's getting boring. Man, it's time for a change.

Yes, I still have the Accord. It's getting old, but there are no payments. I will probably keep it for a couple more years.

Dude, c'mon. Don't you know that if you get an IS 350 you'll be banging a different Victoria's Secret model every weekend?

You guess he was slightly less prepared! HAHAHA like he didnt know it was actually a race! How perceptive you are.

I pulled a bus length on a GT500 too because of that drivers lack of preparation.

I knew he was going to run. He underestimated my car... It's his problem that he didn't brake launch.

In your case the GT500 was wasn't racing. In my case it was. Otherwise I would have pulled good 3 football fields.

no guys it's true. I was in the GT500, I got spanked fair and square by some cheap and utterly garbage sedan that usually is driven by middle aged women.

...so I of course could not take another loss and went to my local Lexus dealership and traded my GT500 for a $8,000 loss and got myself the almighty Lexus ISF 350, now I'm on top of the world, running low 14's like a boss.

No seriously, we were racing. The Mustang GT lost. If he wasn't racing I would have pulled good 3 football fields.

Lexus is way better than the Acura no comparison. Acura TL I can tell you, based on my experience, is an absolute garbage. I would take a Honda Accord instead.

There is no such thing as "ISF 350" It's a second generation IS model 350 you newb ha ha... And it runs low 13's quarter@ 104 mph. 14's possible on an uphill, meaning not on drag strip. Try going 15% uphill with your Acura. You'll get good high 15's to low 16's.

Right.

Maybe he was referring to the IS 350 with the F sport package? You could call it the IS-F 350...
