Hi guys,

Just wondering... Does the fuel light come on at the same time as in the 04-06 TLs? I've been driving an 07 5AT loaner for a month now and I thought I was just not paying attention. Seems quite a bit more conservative than the prior model years... Seems to come on at 13.2 or 13.3 gallons used from full...

Too bad its a loaner anyway... I've come to like the rear view camera a lot... Makes parking a lot faster... Also can see if a stupid kid is behind the car before I back up... (sometimes even turning around you can't see them because they are ducking or they are too short)..

Anyone wanna buy me a new TL for my birthday today? :P

I'm not sure what the exact mileage it comes on but I have an 07 5AT TL-S and it seems to come on with about 30miles left in range, however, when range does reach 0 I think you still have about 2 gallons left in the tank. I've pushed the car to 35 miles (after reaching 0 range) and filled up as I wanted to see how far I could really go just in case

yea on my 07 5AT TL, the light comes on around 13.2 gallons used from full. but the tank is 17.1gallons so id say its a little conservative but not that bad.

whats amazing to me is that the drive from norcal to socal, i couldve done it with 1 tank and have about 20miles left on the range meter.

im actually quite amazed by the mileage of these TLs. my old 97 2.5TL would get at best 25mpg highway, the to 99 ML320 about 19.6mpg

well it was the first time i drove it down I-5, but i leave from Pleasanton to Riverside.

i just noticed that based on the navigation system, it would say that the distance i have to travel was less than the maximum distance i could travel based on what the range meter said.

Yeah, I went from San Jose to Walnut (370 miles) in my 05 5AT TL with 1/4 tank to spare! Average MPG was well north of 30...
