07-08 TL OEM floor lights in a 04-2006 3G

Has anyone ever put the OEM floor lights from a 2007-2008 3G TL into a 2004-2006 TL?

The interior panels look very similar for the 04-06 and 07-08 models, I was wondering if it had been done. I've already looked at folks with 3G's who did it with aftermarket LED light strips lights, but I wanted the more OEM look to doing it.

I guess it depends on how bright you want it. The OEM lights are not very bright at all. Very subtle.

Yeah I was just planning on getting these from Oznium and adding them under each footwell. One should suffice to get that OEM effect, which is good enough for me. Just looking to add a touch of elegance.

Oh yea, those should be perfect. The OEM one's are located pretty much in the center of the under dash covers. Good luck with it

Here is the driver's side lower panel, the part is #1

Here is the passenger side, the part is #3

For those of you 2007-08 3G's, do the lights come through a hole in the panel or are they at the edge of the panel in the open?

They come through a hole. The connector clips on the inside and the bulb pokes through the hole. The bulb actually has a kinda clear/white cover, which I removed for brightness. It was a little brighter, but not much.

What's kinda odd is that Honda makes a interior illumination kit with blue LED's for the current Civic. It has three light modules that provide floor and center console blue lighting. Kinda pricey (~$70) but it does include all the parts and wiring harnesses that plug into the dash wiring harness. I guess Honda marketing didn't think there was not much of a market for mod'ers for the 3G TL (which is not the case if they came to AcuraZine and looked around).

Yea, why wouldn't you got led strips?? They're a lot brighter and you can't see them anyways so they'll look oem.
