07-08 hid kit for fog light

What kind of kit is everyone using?

I'm having problem with bulbs burning out. I guess AUTO headlight has constant power running through the system all the time.

What can I do to prevent this?

if your HID bulbs are constantly going out, then there is a problem with the way they are being powered, either at the ballast or at the power source! Are yours hooked up straight into the fog light harness or do you have a relay kit?

I'm hooked up straight to fog light harness. No relay kit
Company told me that TL has constant power running to headlights and fog light if headlight is selected on AUTO. Just need to figure this out so I can have both fog lights working.

I am going to put a set of 3000K in the fogs for the wife's TSX and curious about this also. If you have a multimeter, you could test the connector for the fogs when the car is "on" in the "auto" position. But then again that means you would have to tear it all apart, again...LOL.

I think it puts out 2 volts or 5 volts while car is running. I cant remember now. I'm assuming you can probably put relays to make it work. I dont know though

i have cheap kit from ebay for 40$, have it installed for 3 months, no problems yet. I'm hooked up straight to fog lights harness + provided harness that came with the kit.

You need a relay. You can buy everything from ddmtuning.

You would have to buy an H8 HID relay harness. I was on youtube all last night researching HID relay harness. They are on Ebay for $9 shipped to your door. I just ordered an HID kit for my fogs with a relay kit and will be wiring them to run independently.

Did you leave that little metal piece around the bulb or did you take it off? I left mine on and it sure seems to kill a lot of the light.... :-/

That small round shield is still in the fog light housing. This photo was taken with my crappy cell phone. Trust me, it is NOT this bright....lol. I had a few other pics, but this one came out the brightest.

ok guess it's normal then. Also I got 6k...maybe 4.3k would be brighter and give off more usable light. I'm going to change them when I get around to it.
