'07-'08 front Aspec lip on '04-'06 bumper?
 

First off just wanted to say that im new to az so be nice. Yes i have search but can't find a tread on this. But Will a 07-08 front aspec lip fit on 04-06 bumper? I know the grills are different but the 04-06 aspec lip fits on the 07-08 with some modification. So Im just wondering if the 07-08 lip would be the same vise versa. If there is already a tread on this please link me to it.

I would also like to know a straight foward Answer cant seem to find it would the type s líp package fit for año 04 tl?

pretty sure 07-08 lips whether it be base or a-spec will NOT fit 04-06 front bumper without heavy modification. I contemplated this a multitude of times with my '06 and that was the answer i got everytime.

Oh. Maybe I'm not putting in the right words. I checked out the link but is not exactly what I'm looking for. That's more of the complete bumper conversion. None the less it was pretty helpful. Actually found a link to the type s lip conversion in that tread. Might go for the type s nnow. Thanks

I've read a few threads where it seems there is the ability to make the type S Aspec front end fit the 04-06 (ua6) bumper. But I have not seen anyone make the 07-08 base aspec lip fit the 04-06 bumper. Is this not possible? Seems strange the type s one fits but the base does not.

The reason why the Type-S lip can work is because it doesn't really conform to any specific curve - it's pretty much the whole bottom half of the bumper. It just fits over the shape of the bumper, and the bumper shapes between each year are pretty similar.

Basically, you can cut the whole bottom half of the 04-06 bumper and place the Type-S lip over, and it would work.

However, the 07/08 base lip forms to the foglights/grill area of the 07/08 base bumper.

You can make it work, but you'll have to do some modifying.

Ah. In comparing the 04-06 bumper and 07-08 base bumper, I see difference you are referencing and thought that might be the case. Is there any other issue where it wouldn't work other than the fog light area? It looks like one could just modify the lip or bumper around that area to fit and everything else would be good to go. Not to say that it is just that easy, but if that is the only issue, it might be doable and still look good if taking the time to modify that area cleanly.
