06 TL w/ SuperCharger

Hi all. I currently have a TSX and am looking to get a 06 TL w/ Navi but have a few questions that I hope you can help out with.

1. Is it worth getting the 06 over the 07 given the price difference?
The only difference I know of is rear camera view, ipod, rear lights.

2. With the Comptech Super Charger, what is the hp on the TL and what the the 0-60?

Thank you.

I dont think no one can answer you number one as we havent test drove one yet. The Type S could be a lot different with the new 3.5l engine. The SC gives you 65 extra hp on the current model. If you have stick, it will be faster than Auto.

If I get the Super Charger, it will add 65 whp.
Is there any other mod that you guys would recommend to increase the whp or torque?

My friend has a Evo w/ 270-280 whp and I want to get something comparable AND I want to stick with Acura.

What is the best time to buy the 06. I know they are having specials right now but will I get a better deal a month or so from now?

White Diamond Pearl for sure!!

Thanks!!

im sorry i just dont think the TL is in the same category as EVO or WRX. TL seems too luxurious just to be compared to them. If you want to stay with Acura maybe getting an RSX type S then turbocharge it then it might give the EVO a run for its money. Even though EVO or WRX are great cars, they seem to plain in the interior, I mean just look at the interior of the TL....

I agree... The STI or EVO are just fast cars.. they have no refined qualities at all. and for the record, refinement is not leather seats and a moon roof or HIDs. Your car is refined when you and your lady can dress up and hit the town in class.

But getting back the poster's question, Yes, a supercharger would make you faster than stock STI's or EVO's provided you have a 6MT. the whole package would be CAI, pulleys, Exhaust, S/C.

I know that it would be hard to beat his EVO but I would like to keep up. :0)
Love the interior of the TL. Evo interior is really plain.

Look at the performance section and you'll see the SC guys are averaging about 285 whp and a couple over 300 whp

if you supercharged a 6speed, you wouldnt be able to keep the front tires on the ground
the car is all over the road STOCK, maybe slicks but who would want to drive around all day on those...=p\
when i worked at acura of orange park, i sold a guy a comptech for his 06 AUTO, i drove it, you dont feel anything until you hit about 40 mph then it screams and is a load of fun
unfortunately, our sales manager and him raced (he as a 6 speed) and it was a pretty close race...and the dude spent about 7000 with me for a whole package....

Really? I thought SuperCharger would make a big difference. Considering an increase of 60whp.

Might have to rethink this. Anybody else who experienced this?
Also, by how much does the SC shorten the lifespan?

I am currently driving a 06 6 speed with a comptech supercharger. The supercharger makes the car a lot more fun to drive. It only has 5,100 miles on it. I am trying to sell it...it has 18" A-Spec wheels, and suspension kit. Also, a deck lid lip in the rear. Black/Black with Navi. It looks very good. If you are interested post a reply. Also, 20% window tint on every window, and 50% on the windshield.
