06 TL vs. 08 TL-S rear bumper ASAP
Acura said they might get me a NEW rear bumper for my 06 TL that they repaired instead of giving me a NEW one like they said they would back in Dec 08 when they drilled the holes in the wrong spots to install my 06 A-Spec kit..
ANYWAY.
QUESTION: Will the 08 TL-S bumper fit my 06 TL for sure???
I need an answer ASAP. So they can get the part for me and paint it.

Now I need to wait to see if I am getting a new 08 TL-S bumper instead of trimming my 06 bumper.

I am a little upset as Acura has NOT called me back.
I know I need to cut my 06 bumper to install the 08 TLS A-Spec rear lip. I bought a new A/C Dremel and a cutting kit yesterday. I was ready to cut the bumper until I noticed the inside of the bumper had 4 holes filled in=repaired bumper, NOT A NEW ONE LIKE I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET, after they drilled the WRONG holes while installing my 06 A-Spec kit to my 06 TL, they said I would get a NEW bumper. I am on HOLD NOW.

Gatdammit...I bought the oem mesh from the dealer after I installed the aspec kit and yes it does not ft the opening. The mesh goes on the type-S bumper. I cut the mesh so it fit on the OUTSIDE part of the bumper and not the inside. Here is the link to my DIY on how I installed the kit on my car.
Any other questions on this, please chime in on this thread below:

JD-TLS, you are wearing me out brotha...... No problem as that is what we are here for....Help. As you can see from the pictures of my car, the hole is covered up. I wouldn't cut my bumper on my car if I knew it was going to show. Check out the thread above on how I did it.
The tabs on each corner, keep the kit against the bumper on each side so the double sided tape does very little. This kit is much better than the original A-spec as Honda knew the problems from the original one and fixed them.
If your really upset about cutting your existing bumper........Sell your Aspec rear and bumper as a set to someone else for some cash and buy a new wdp bumper and aspec kit. I choose not to pay more than I had too and sold my rear aspec skirt for 150 that was mint with not a scratch on it.
Remember JD-TLS, you have the most common color TL out there so you could easly sell that bumper to a fellow member and get what you want.
