06 MTs have 3rd gear problem?

Does the 06 MTs have problems with getting into 3rd gear? I'm picking mine up tomorrow morning and have read all the posts on the 05. Acura put out a TSB for the 05s so I would think they would remedy the problem on the new 06s. But that may or may not be the case. Thanks

After a variable amount of miles (2000-6000?) 3rd gear can be hard to get into when the engine is cold.
Changing the lube out fixes it, the GM MTF friction modified seems to work real well, and some people just had new honda stuff put in.

Its more of an anoyance then a problem.

I never had any sort of problem with my '04 manual. I did go ahead and drain the tranny fluid at 14,000+ miles and install the GM Friction Modified stuff anyway just to get any metal filings out. Mine's been super.

Mind posting a link where you saw the 2005 TSB? I searched the 3GTL TSB's listed over in the Garage but came up with zilch.

Knock on wood...my '04 is solid as well. Hearing about tranny problems kinda makes me glad my car is just a rattle box.

I don't have your problem (rattles) either. My TL has 24,300 miles on it and will be 2 years old this July, and it's still tight and sure. Tranny is a gem as is the clutch and the throttle response. Still puts a smile on my face.
