Damage done to passenger door and front fender, needed to be replaced. Salvage title.
I was wondering if it was worth $12,000 or if I should have an offer near the range of ~9k.
First post! Thank you AcuraZine!

Welcome to the forum.
I don't think it's worth $12K. Have it looked at very closely. I'm with Champ. Airbags were probably deployed. Make sure that there wasn't any major frame damage or damage to the suspension. If they didn't fix it just right that car will forever be a POS.

Although the price is tempting, I'd definitely stay away from salvage titled cars. You never know how badly that car was involved in an accident and you'd probably pay more just to get the car inspected. Depending on where you're located, '06 6MT TLs could be had for a couple grand more and you can sell that easily later on if you had wanted to as opposed to a salvaged car.

not only this but you also dont know the quality of the workmanship that went into fixing the car.

Salvage title will alwayshave a scarlet A on it's chest. It will reduce value and raise questions even if everything was done right.
Depending on the strike angle it may or may not have had bag deployments but that can be repaired. I think the bigger issue is frame and body being straight and clean.
It's a big issue to get a tweaked unibody back into alignment and most shops don't get it quite right. It's just too hard and requires expensive laser guided equipment. Too many shops start pulling on the corners until it's real close and call it a day.
I'd take a pass.
Another sweet thing will be along in a few minutes looking for your attention....:-)
