05acura tl vs 06lexus gs300
just got my cai and a guy from my job wanted to race me. i know the tl is alot faster then the gs but he didn't want to listen to me. so i let him talk and talk for week, and then i let him have it all. we race 3 times and i killed him all three times. he even took off early and i still got him. now another guy that just got a gs350 wants to race. and i don't know about him all i got is my cai. what do i need to make him feel like a lexus is just a lexus and nothing special.

are you 6MT or 5AT? If you are 6MT you will beat the GS350 if you are 5AT the GS will edge you out more than likely. If you get pullies or pro-cats you'll take the GS.

hmmm I think those GS350s are pushing out 303hp, while with your CAI, your TL is probably making 270hp at the crank. A Lexus IS350 is a lo faster than a normal TL 6MT, even though he GS350 is probably about 200lbs heavier, it should still be a bit faster than your car. If I were you I would put more bolt on's and then you can take him.

a good launch will give you a better chance. GS is a little heavier than the TL so will take time to launch. If you launch good and put some boltons. you'll win no probs. Just end the race at the end of 3rd gear.

ya i think it will be close because the way i walk all over that 300. when we got to the end i was like 3 cars in front of him. and when he started early i pass him like he was standing still. so i think it will be a close race ya his heaver and has more power but the engine in the acura's is a very good engine. but im going to get headers by the end of this month.
