05 TL NAVI for Invoice?
I have been checking around and it seems that inoice is not out of the question for these cars. Just wondering who out there has gotten it recently and where, I am in the Atlanta area but am willing to buy at any southeastern dealer who is willing to deal around invoice.

Mine was an '04 a month before the 05s were coming out.
I haven't seen anything even close to invoice for 05 NAVIs in the NE yet.

Good luck around the Atlanta area, they seem to be pretty stuck onb their TL prices around here, I ended up with a demo car to knock of the price and it is an 04 that had 8k on it four months ago.

I think negotiating on one on the lot might be hit or miss, the TL is a hot seller and apparently having record sales per that other thread. I got ours for 33,628 off the lot, it was the end of the month and we had no trade too. They are now selling for like 34,100 because lots of folks on the 'net will do mid 33's.

If that were true, why don't you buy it form the same place they did? If they are your buddies, I am certain they would refer you. Flight from Atlanta to Cincy is ...What, $80? Drive back might take you a day. Seems to be worth it to save the additional $1,500-$2,000 the SE dealers are getting over invoice.

The BS icon was unwarranted, but his suggestion is still an option. I personally wouldn't travel far to buy a car, but if it'll save you alot of money & give you a chance to hang with your buddies, its certainly an option.

FYI Nautical,
I plan on buying a tl soon also. I've got to buy before years end due to tax reasons, but I'm planning on holding off until the week after christmas.
I'm hoping to have a few things working for me at that time:
-- Its the slowest car sales week of the year.
-- Hopefully, They'll have monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals to reach.
For me, the one downside to this is the car must be on the lot since I must buy that week.
I know some others that have gotten an outstanding offer at that time.
It may be a stretch, but I'm hoping to get an under invoice deal at that time (cutting into holdback).

Reality...
The TL field inventory is at approximately 24 days, which is very tight - less than a months supply. I'm sure dealers are well aware of this fact.
If you know somebody who is saying they got a '05 at or near invoice then I suggest you pin them down exactly as to where and how, because it seems very very unlikely unless they have some connections. You'd have to leverage those same connections to get the same deal.
Honda is doing an extraordinary job of keep TL production on par with demand which is the factor that's keeping the selling prices stable at or very near MSRP.
Unless the situation is extraordinary, no dealer is going to sell a new TL at invoice to somebody walking in the door.

I've only seen one person on this board so far that has gotten a bona-fide deal under invoice for an '05 and that was because the dealer made a mistake.
I can't remember his name but he pre-ordered his 05 on Long Island before they started shipping and had a contract signed by the salesperson to back him up. The salesperson ended up getting fired but they honored his deal because he was making a big stink.

I must reiterate what a great experience Karen Radley really is. Our family has dealt with Pohanka in the past on 3 different cars and we expected to deal with them in the same manner this time. We were going in to buy a 2005 TL for myself and a 2005 TSX for my brother. Everything went smoothly until they pretty much decided that they weren't going to deal with us that day. We walked out of there, grabbed some lunch and headed straight for Karen Radley.
From the moment we stepped out of the car, things were different. Whereas Pohanka was very busy with customers and it was difficult to even get our previous salesman to sit down with us for more than 10 minutes, Karen Radley's business manager, Marc Lamb met us in the parking lot. Within an hour and a half or so, we were completely negotiated and very happy. The deal on the 2005 TSX was a little more difficult to make considering they only had two on the lot, neither with Navi, but the TL went without a hitch. We arrived at $33,800, which was the number I was looking for, without a problem. Sure, I think I could've done a little better somewhere else, but I can't complain considering I didn't have to drive more than 45 minutes away from home to get it. They absorbed the "processing fees" on both vehicles, making that $33,800 with no nonsense tacked on. So come Tuesday of this week, I will be the proud owner of a 2005 Tl Anthracite/Ebony 5AT w/Navi and the biggest supporter of Karen Radley Acura in Northern VA.
