05 Civic vs 07 BMW Z4

Coming home from school around 10:30PM in Toronto on McCowan. Going north from 16th to buroak is about 1/4 mile long with no traffic lights. I was driving my daily driver the 05 civic lx. It's got about 117 hp and cost me less than $16,000 or so brand new. Some dude in an 07 Z4 starts to race for no reason, i guess he saw the "H" sign on the back of my car. hehehe. Anyways he was pulling on me but he must have pulled like 3-4 cars on me by the time i reached 130km/h. By the way i was rolling around 60km/h when i punched it. Same with the other dude. I thought he would have taken me by 10 car lengths or so. BTW I was beaten by a Hyundai Elantra from a role. Anyways I go home and check out the bmw website and I check out the price on that BMW, it costs like $53,900 before taxes and has 215 hp. Im thinking that Z4 isnt worth it for the performance you get. Thats the only thing I don't like about german cars. All the lower end german cars are soo expensive and you get barely any performance. But if you go for the top end german cars you pay like mad money but at the end its worth it for like an AMG or an M. The civic was driving well for some reason i guess because i had the a/c off but if i add like air filters or even a turbo and pay about 5-8 grand to do that I would probably have taken out that Z4.

lol you sure that guy went WOT?? But then if you could tell that he was trying to race, then I guess may be he did try his best....anyways yea, when it comes to bang for the buck, I guess american cars are good at that...if I remember correctly, with $54kCAD, you can probably get a charger with like 425hp??

I think he was tyring, i heard his enigne and exhaust getting louder as he was speeding so im assuming he floored it. Usually first time you race someone you floor it and afterwards when you know the other guys capabilities then you can play around. So that guy was def. not playing around with me cause he just kept going. American cars have awesome power but the only downside to that is mpg. They are tanks when it comes to that. But i would love to have an srt8 edition chrysler/jeep/dodge (425hp) aside from the TL.

I used to kill civics (minus the Si) left and right in my 94 dodge spirit (approx $2K USD). Granted none of them were boosted or swapped that I raced either though...

and reliability issues assocaited with american cars...I find that Japanese cars have the best balance...in terms of performance, reliability, price, etc.
