04TL vs STI Sedan
05-06 STI: Unknown mods
04 TL: Stock
- 25 roll: I pulled about a half car ahead and stayed till the top of 2nd gear. He then proceeded to destroy me by at least 2-3 car lengths. If not more..
- 40 roll: He pulled right of the bat and I let off at ~80-85mph. He was about 3-4 car lengths ahead of me at minimum.
I got destroyed, but I expected it. .
Sometimes losing is just as fun as winning though.

LOL at race live everyday. Idk man, I just get lucky. But it's unlucky at the same time cause the car's falling apart on me and pushing it hard like this isn't exactly gonna' help it last.

I wouldn't go that far as to say the TL would need a turbo to keep up with a bolt on STi. Mod for mod it's not even close, but stock for stock on the highway really would be close.
I had an encounter with an Evo 9 on the highway (not the first time). But this one must've been @3-3500 RPM and I was singing away at 6500+ and he was right next to me....hence why I hate boosted cars

Not an STI but it's a bolt-on 5AT TL vs an '09 stage 1 wrx.

If you can find a stock STI.....usually they have at least a turbo back and programming....which will add around 40 whp depending on the combination. Two of my close friends have STI's a 2007 with 315hp to the wheels and a 2005 with 325hp to the wheels, and they are both pretty quick. I've never been in a TL-S so I don't know how fast they are. I have a 2010 TL 6 speed and the STI's will eat me for lunch in a straight line.....I'll pull away in the twisties BTW-my STI has 550whp, so my STI is just plain CRAZY!!!!

Thats my video
Also, Ive raced an 04 STI in the past. It was identical to this race with my current mods. Check the garage in my profile for a full list.

It's all good then, I think. I just used it a reference to show that a TL does not need a turbo to keep up with or beat an STI.

I think the TL would need some serious mods to hang with an STi from a dig/low speeds, and probably would still get beat. From a roll, turbo lag would play a big part and it's anyone's guess.
Nice death though, how do you get these kind of cars to line up with you?

I just hope you don't ever port/polish your Accord's head. Because then we'll have some problems with this analogy
