04ish 350Z 6 speed vs Accord 6 speed

I got the opportunity to run a 6 speed 350Z (I'm pretty sure it was the less powerful VQ35DE) the other night and came back with some pretty good results.

First race was a 60-105 roll, I started in 3rd gear and started pulling him immediately after the 3rd honk. By the time I shifted 4th I was roughly 2 car lengths ahead and steadily pulling.

On the second race, 75-100 with him starting a split second before me, I started steadily reeling him in and his front bumper was at my quarter panel by the end of the run.

Races were safe and fun, he gave me thumbs up and we went our separate ways.

Very nice Tyler. Was it modded or stock? Either way good runs.

From what I could tell yeah, stock and a 6 speed.

I want to see how my car would do against a VQ35HR from a 50 roll. Not sure how well I would do .. but I would enjoy running one regardless!

They are beasts...especially in 6 speed. I'd love to run one too, but I don't think I'd like the outcome. They are about as fast as the 370s. Although I did have a semi-close run with my buddy's I/E 370

^^ That Accord has the J32a3 (TL motor) along with lightweight wheels. He also has full bolt ons, probably putting down 270whp. He also has taken down the headliner and back seats and who knows if the trunk is gutted or not. The car is definitely quick, but not your regular bolt on Accord.

Nice runs tyler. Our accords have impressive top end power especially the 6MT.
