Me and a friend were coming home from a night out when we stop at a red light. I figure it was safe since there were no cars in either direction to have a friendly race. My friend has a 2006 Lancer Evo non MR is currently @ 295 whp. I have a 04 TL 6mt with a cai. When the light turns green, we ease off the line. at about 10 mph we both give it the gas, throughout 1st I was about even with him, 2nd gear is when he starts to slightly pull, and at the end of 3rd I was at his rear door. I am impressed with the results even though i lost. I know i would've been embarrassed if we raced from a dig.

I'm going to race him from a roll again if I get the v3 pipe, then hopefully it'll be a closer race.

I wonder how I would do against a bone stock Evo racing from a roll..

Nice run. I'm surprised you kept up that well, is he a good driver? 295whp in a car lighter than you with more torque and a longer, meatier powerband should have walked you pretty easily. Stock they are ehh from a roll, you will be able to take it. But with 295whp (I/E/tune maybe?) he should walk you without a doubt. Good run though.

The V3 is a great mod and will definitely give you what you're looking for.

First a TL stays with a 335 and now another one is within a car length at the end of 3rd gear, with an EVO?? I have a CL so I am effectively blood brothers with you guys but 295 hp at the wheels is extremely strong. Aside from the fact that you are lightly modded even if you do have a stick there should be no way..

Did your buddy mention if he missed a shift??
