Unless your brake calipers were changed to Brembos then you don't have them I don't think. Brembos came only on the 07 and 08 Type S.

Not sure to be honest man, I will have to pull the wheel and take a gander if this was fully changed out to brembo or if the previous owner threw on rice covers.

I went and took a gander at them, I don't think they are covers they look to be an integral part of the brake system.

Half correct, but they also came in the 04-06 6spd only. They are brembo calipers and not covers.

^they don't stop the car any faster then the base/auto brakes, most of that is dependent on tires.

You sure can its really really easy, there area few tips and tricks to doing it that make it simple with the rubber still on and everything still mounted.

Prep involves taking some old grocery bags and running them behind the rims to protect the brake drums and rotors.

Wiping the rims down with a good degreaser and a micro fiber cloth, I use Greased Lightning, its works amazing!!!

Then paint , the trick is to paint the rubber as well, you don't have to paint all of the rubber just about a 1-2 inch thick strip this way you can just peel it all off when it dries, here is a great how to video:

[/QUOTE]

Now there is one thing I have yet to see in any plasti dip video or instruction and it is very very important!

DO NOT LET THE CAN GET COLD!!!!! Paint in general coagulates when it gets cold and even at room temp of 68 degrees it will not be the consistency you want to come out of the can. It will spray in small chunks and you will have a shitty texture look when it dries then you'll blame the plasti dip.

I always run my can under hot water and shake it up really well before each coat, this guarantees a nice fine mist which allows for a smooth dry and even coating.

Man the rims and Grill look pretty legit. Have you thought about red lugs for a contrast? Just wondering if you can recommend where to get the paint/plastic ad I've never dealt with it before. Is it all the same? Is one good for metal and one for plastic? Also besides a clean/dry surface any other prep involved? Thanks.

I am going to leave the lugs as they are, i painted the caps red for contrast and i may paint the calipers as well.

You can buy Plasti dip at Lowes, Home Depot, or Pep boys. Home depot and Pep boys has more options than Lowes as far as color, it is in the paint aisle with all the spray paints.

Plasti dip will work on whatever you spray it on, metal, plastic, helmets, wood, you name it it will stick.

Prep is no different than regular paint, make sure its clean and dry, I use greased lightning that you can buy at your local grocery store and a micro fiber cloth spray the cloth with the greased lighting and wipe down whatever you are about to dip.

Also make sure the can is warm and not cold otherwise the paint will clump up and you will get a textured spray which you don't want, run the can under hot water till its warm and shake it up real good then spray.

Do the first coat light let it dry for 5 min then add another coat, you need at least 4-5 coats so its easy to peel off.

Very nice. I pulled the trigger and did my grille this weekend. For my first spray can project ever I thought it came out pretty decent. Attempted to do rear emblems and that didn't go so well. I think I'm going to remove them and paint them off the car.

Thanks for the heads up on the EGR port, I pulled mine and cleaned it along with the throttle body and she idles much smoother and the throttle response is much better!
