04 6MT Nav. vs. 04 5AT. . . the 'showdown' . . .

Got a TL loaner for the NSX today. (Getting my harnesses installed and V1 hardwire). Mine is on the right. Ebony/carbon interior, 6MT/Nav. Loaner on the left.
Here are my thoughts on the base 5AT versus my 6MT/Nav:
I have to say I really miss the Navi screen in the center console. The base LCD is not in keeping with the rest of the interior.
The wood/aluminum combo is interesting. I don't know how I feel about it. The carbon fiber/aluminum is an obvious choice. I would be interested to see what they could do with the wood interior if they got rid of the aluminum. I always liked black over tan interiors. It reminds me of my mom's Gen II Legend and my Dad's RL.
The gearing on the automatic is not good. It kicks down nicely, but 5th is way too tall for mileage reasons. I don't want to be loafing along at 1500 RPM in 5th and it is annoying and fuel consuming to have to kick it down to 4th to keep the engine above 2000.
Other than that, the automatic would be nice at times during the commute, but I prefer to shift myself.

My '01 CL-S was a 5AT and I felt that both 4th and 5th were too tall. It was like the tranny was actually a 6AT that was missing 4th! I went through two trannies in that car.

As for the interior, I too prefer it dark. The gray is nice but the lighter interiors seem to appear dirtier and are harder to clean. And having the aluminum trim with the camel and parchment interiors is a total miss IMO.
