04/05 vs. 06 headlights

Can anyone tell me how to identify the difference in housings from 04/05 to 06? I'm looking at a set and I'm trying to figure out what year they are for.

just take a look at the cut off shield. 04-05 ones look like a staircase step and 06 look more of a uphill ramp.

(easy to understand terms)

I could if they still had projectors. I'm simply getting the "blank" housings. This way I can mod them and install my projectors at a later date.

as I remember, the holders for the ballasts are bigger in 04-05.

Which set of projectors is the best for light output? I am going to do a TL retrofit to my supra, and I would like to know which are the best for light output
