04/05 pricing..i know i know
Ok first off i want to say i have been here for months lurking and researching. i have been in the market for a new car for almost a year now. I have finally gotten ready to buy and have been researching it for about 3 months seriously. Enough back story... on to the pertinent information. I have done a search with no success so be gentle with me . I am still deciding between a 2004 and 2005. I am leaning toward 2005 because it is so late in the year to first get an 04. I have been shopping around and been offered a few different things. The best i have seen so far is this:
2004 TL anthracite/ebony at $29950
42 MONTHS/12000 MILES PER YEAR
$443/month--$450 ref. security dep--$1095 bank fee--$1723 taxes
total due is $3268 plus dmv fees and plates
motor vehicle fees ($102.50 plus plates)
Now i have read some posts but nothing specific to my details so i might be wrong but i have seen many posts that show a similar per month payment and much less due at signing. $3268 due at signing for only taxes and fees upfront seemed fine to me until i saw posts here. I specified to this dealer i want no money down except taxes and fees up front. Am i right in thinking the amount due is high compared to some other people in NY/LI area who have also gotten a 2004 tl with navigation?
I just had a revelation so maybe this accounts for the difference...could it be the price of the car is so low but other people have the bank fee already added on to the price they were quoted so they are only paying taxes up front?
Any insight you can offer me i'd appreciate
