'04, '05-'08 Floor Mats/Seats Information
I did a little experimenting with my 04 TL.
The driver and passenger seats were pretty worn out so I went to a junk yard jantz yard4 out in Kenosha Wisconsin. They had an 06 TL with 35,000 miles with a hard passenger side hit. The airbag was blown on the passenger front seat. I took a chance and got the pair of seats hoping that I could use my 04 seat back with the 06 lower seat. Everything went smooth, almost a direct bolt in! The 06 passenger seat had the seat belt anchor that mounts to the seat as opposed to the chassis on the 04. I removed that and replaced the 06 seat plastics with the 04 plastics and all is well. Everything fits like it should and looks excellent. All heated seats, controls, srs still works.
The 06 seats feel stiffer and have a little more adjustment then my 04 did. The brackets still mount in the same exact spot but the lower brackets are shaped a little differently so I now need 05-08 floor mats. 04 mats are slightly different but only on the passenger side rear mat. Also seat bolt covers are different on the 05-08 than the 04.
In a nutshell, the only difference in the 04 mats from the 05-08 mats are the passenger rear mat.
I'd post pics but I'm lazy!!

in 05 onward they change the anchor point on the seat belt, and I think they offer tan all weather floor mats starting from 05 and after that.

So here are a couple pics to kinda explain what I've done
The first picture shows a stock 06 seat.
The second picture is an 06 bottom seat with an 04 seat back with the 04 seat plastics. (Notice how there is no seat belt on the seat). The 04 is on the chassis.
