Meguiar's 2004 Acura TL NXT Clinic
Well,
It's been a couple of weeks since I've been on line--started moving (upgrade) February 5th, and I am still awaiting Verizon's DSL to ramp up. Sorry for not getting back to a couple of TL'rs that have insight on the following:
I went to the Meguiar's NXT Clinic (Located in Irvine, Ca), as an "Add in" on February 7th. So-Cal Mercedes Benz club was down there going through this great clinic.
Mike Phillips is the Technical Advisor at Meguiar's, and did a fantastic job getting people performed with Meguiar's new NXT Generation lineup of products.
The day started out as a gathering of car enthousiasts desiring to learn a little history of Automotive wax & polishing products (since the demand was introduced around 1904), and the terms and proper use of auto detailing/protecting.
After a very informative 2.5 hours of calssroom briefings (and danish's & coffee), we headed out to the detailing bay.
A black 190E 2.6 was the demo vehicle, and Mike Phillips proved once again... that the spiderweb-swirlmarks could be removed with said products. The owner finished the other side of the hood after lunch--Free Pizza (Papa John's) Whoo whoo!
Good stuff Maynord.
For the 30 (plus a couple of stragglers) participants, we received a bag full of NXT goodies with some other Meguiar's products.
Participants also get an opportunity to by the Dual Action Polisher at a reduced cost. I got a gallon of "Final Detail." This is not Final Inspection. Final Detail has Siicon in it, and it seems to be a great product.
May 22, 2004 is the date set for 2004 Acura TL owners.

Donuts and coffee will be served at 8:30am with class starting at 9:00am sharp. and continuing until the last man standing. Pictures of the event will be posted to Meguiar’s online discussion forum under the Car Crazy Events & People
This hands-on how-to class will cover both the basics of detailing as well as some advanced techniques and procedures for detailing every inch of your Acura. Hands-on demonstrations include how to take your Acura’s finish to it's maximum potential.
Topics include,
* Meguiar’s 5-step paint care cycle
* Meguiar’s Consumer line of products including the new NXT Generation line of products
* Meguiar’s Professional line, including, Nikken Finishing papers, Compounds, Cleaner/Polishes, Pure Polishes, and Paint Protectants, as well as using Meguiar’s foam pad technology.
* Techniques for using your hands, rotary buffers and the Porter Cable Dual-Action Polisher will be discussed and demonstrated.
Each attendee will receive a Meguiar’s gift bag for attending. You are encouraged to bring your Acura, and if you have any isolated defects, such as an isolated scratch in your hood, door, or other panel, we will do our best to massage it out using Meguiar's Unigrit Finishing papers, diminishing abrasives compounds and cleaner/polishes and Meguiar’s Soft Buff foam pad technology.

I'm helping Mike Phillips coordinate this event to keep the number at 30.
We are trying to get Acura's Only, 2004 TL's as a majority, I think...
