Well after sitting at bridgestone for 3 hours this morning i find out that the reason that the brandnew el-42 i bought yesterday is flat (2nd flat in 2 days)..happens to be because i have a cracked rim...the dealer (david mcdavid) tells me they have almost brand new rims that come off of vehicles and will sell me one for 200 (just rim) if i want the full brand new rim it will cost me 280...what are my options does that sound like a reasonable price for 1 rim

any help is appreciated

 

Why is your rim cracked? Doesn't the rim have a structural warranty? Sounds like it may be devective and should be replaced under warranty.

 

Thanks i just got off of the phone with sterling acura and they told me that if its along the edge most likely its from a pot hole etc...not a defect..

 

Sorry to hear that. Must have been a significant pot hole. As far as price, I'm not sure if $280 is fair but I think I'd rather pay for the brand new wheel rather than a used one. Good luck!
