Pirelli PZero A/S+ 245/40/19 Impressions

Having few miles on the car after installation of these tires, the feedback is preliminary. However, the change from the two sets of previous Michelins is striking and immediately noticed.
Of course, the car started with the 19 inch OEM Michelins. Then to reduce the harshness (and hopefully some of the damper rattle), a set of 245/45/18 Michelin premier A/S were installed on factory 18 inch wheels.
Surprisingly, I noticed little change in the suspension harshness with the Premiere A/S, even with the allowable reduced tire pressure that comes with the 18 inch tire. And the Premier was more sensitive to 'tracking the road ruts', which at times was quite annoying.

This set is surprisingly quite supple and quiet. This 40 profile tire is definitely less harsh than either Michelin. (Of course brand new tires tend to be quieter than after some miles.) I picked these tires compared to the other options because Tire Rack reviewed tires in this category and this particular tire had a balanced and high level of performance profile across noise, harshness, handling, dry and wet traction, etc. I think Tire Rack pegged it correctly.

I wanted to add my 2 cents to the tire discussions. I had the initial idea that some type of Michelin would be my automatic choice. But after two sets of different types of Michelins, IMHO, this tire is far better suited to the RLX suspension.

(PS - Harshness, handling, responsiveness are all impressive on this tire. They don't fix damper rattle though!!!)

Thanks for the review.

I'd love to hear a follow up review if you are still around. Thanks!

Feedback on these 245/40/19 tires continues to be quite good after about 5k miles.
These feel softer at 35psi than the OE 19" Michelins at 30psi, and even softer than the 18's.

Traction seems to be good, and I don't notice any sluggishness in handling or other downside to the gained comfort. And comfort on an RLX PAWS is dam hard to find given that suspension.
