www.tirerack.com is a wealth of information, so you may want to spend some time researching there - specifically Minus sizing. Below is a snip as an example.

Yes, 17" wheels will fit the RLX Sport Hybrid. I run them on the wife's 2018. Tire size equivalent is 235-55R17. If you go to tirerack.com and select a winter wheel/tire package, you'll see the specs for wheels and tires for different sizes that will fit the car. The 16" wheels won't fit - 17" is as small as you can go and clear the calipers. I live in NH and run winter wheels/tires - and have the OEM size for the other 3 seasons. But if you want to run 17" wheels/tires year-round that's certainly possible - just make sure the tire size is the one above so you get the same overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo.

attached is a pic of the RLX with the OEM 19's on the rear, and a set of TL OEM 17" wheels with snow tires on the front - so you can see the general difference.

You need to find Honda/Acura that have 5x120mm bolt pattern and wheels available in 17" diameter. The easiest one to find is for the final gen of the TL (2008-2013 I believe) - those came stock with 17" wheels for the base models and the larger bolt pattern - and that's the wheel you see in my pic. However, that being said, what I run today on both the MDX and RLX is 17" Drag DR-69 wheels I got off of Discount Tire Direct a few years back. The OEM wheels I had started to corrode pretty bad in the winter so I opted for these aftermarket wheels and they've held up great through the last 4 winters. Most Honda's have 5x114.3 bolt pattern - only exceptions are the Ridgeline, Odyssey and Pilot - and most of those didn't have 17" wheels available.....
