Key Fob Battery

I received a message this evening in car that my key fob battery is low. I have changed these batteries on other vehicle fobs in the past. However, I can't seem to get this fob open. Usually if you take the key out, you can just pop it open. Two questions, what is the battery model, and how do you get the fob open gently? Thanks in advance for suggestions.

If you google “opening key fob Acura RLX” you will see a video on YouTube with instructions from someone on a 2016 TLX. The same applies to the RLX.

Its simply a matter of gently prying it open. I do not have hands of a surgeon for stuff like this so I had my wife do it - and it took her seconds to do. I don’t recall the battery number, but it was available for a few bucks at our local Wal-Mart.

You can use the butt-end of the valet key pushed GENTLY into the hole where the key goes to get the shell apart, then use your fingernail to pry it the rest of the way open.
