What kind of oil do you use for RLX Hybrid during changes?

Hi all. I usually just take my car to the dealer for my oil changes, since it's not too expensive. I've yet to take my 2016 RLX Hybird in yet.....my question is (and I can't seem to find the right answer) do you use synthetic oil or the regular oil for the changing at the dealership

My dealership seems to have 2 different types of oil changes: Conventional and Synthetic.

Please advise....thank you in advance!

It is a matter of personal preference. If you follow the MID maintenance schedule, there is no reason this engine will not last 200K+ miles. Neither is a bad choice. Per the manual:

On the same subject, does anyone know where (or whether) the RLX has floor jack points in the front and rear? The owner's manual doesn't mention any (that I could find), and I'd like to jack up the front to change the oil, using the side points (mentioned in the manual) for jack stands while doing so.

The rear (when I get to the differential) has the tow hook, but I'm not sure that's meant for supporting weight pressing straight up into it.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

And as to the OP's question -- I plan to use Mobil 1, which is around $25 for five quarts at Wal-Mart, and the standard Acura oil filter.

I'm also considering installing a Fumoto drain lever, but I haven't decided on that yet.

Thanks in advance.

Jon

Thanks for the help everyone. Looks like the rear tow hook and something (?) in the front. I'll see if I can find the front spot that matches the diagram.

It'll be obvious when you see it. :-)

It's very much like the jack point we've had on the front of Honda chassis...pretty much forever.

I use synthetic as supplied by the dealer; however, I know that this is excessive and unnecessary.

Under absolutely no circumstances should you let someone put an additive in the oil and charge you for it.

Older service techs who are not very high up the food chain mightn't be too aware of the damage that can be done.

(Like having to replace the VCM rocker arm assemblies on newer J Motors. Just don't add crap to oil changes.)
