We're not in much danger of getting to -8 degrees F here, so I'll wait to see if I get the notice.

If I get the letter, it'll make me go in and finally get that TSB done for the wind noise around the doors.

No recall for sports hybrid

I put in the VIn of a Sports Hybrid and there are no recalls listed so apparently the seat belt issue does not impact the Sports Hybrid.

maybe because the SH RLXs were left baking in the sun for 6 months it cured the cold temperature ailment?

Recall

I will try to get this handled when the other bullitin items get fixed on my car such as the loud noise coming from the rear suspension and the squeek noise coming from my power steering wheel.

I got the window noise fixed a month ago- that was helpful as the car became a lot quieter on the xway.

I learned about this recall yesterday when I asked the dealer if '14 RLX had an airbag problem - no known airbag problem.

The Sports Hybrids all seem to have been made much later than we thought they were going to be made. I haven't run across a single one yet that was built in 2013 except the preproduction Pomegranate one that everybody was driving around.

Unfortunately, they mightn't know about it yet.

Something that I noticed on the window sticker of my new car is that the Sports Hybrid is listed as "untested" in the crash tests.

I wonder if the heaviness of the car and the batteries would cause it to behave less well in the tests.

I am not going to be the one that tests it and hope you won't either.

I am getting my belts replaced next week. Had my RLX in for minor service yesterday and they went ahead and ordered the belt repalcements proactively.

seat belt recall

Took X in on 11/3/14 for B1 service. Was informed that we had a Seat Belt
recall. Did not have in stock, had to order them. Always give me a loaner called 11/5/14 to pick up X.

I now have new front seat belts and B1 service completed.

Always great service at SPITZER RT 19 WASHINGTON, PA

Acura says that the seatbelts may not release, dramatically increasing the risk of injury during a collision.
May not release?

Do they mean the buckle itself may not release and let you out of the vehicle, or what? I don't want the belt releasing at the B-pillar locking mechanism in the event of a collision - otherwise I'll just go flying forward.

Unhappy Old Man Winter

So when this was announced I did not really care because my weather never goes below 0 degrees and now we are going to be -1 tomorrow night. Good thing I got this done because it has been a brutal winter lately. Hope everyone has done theirs by now.
