It's official....i signed the papers yesterday for a 2016 RLX Sport Hybrid, Pomegranate Pearl / Seacoast! I will be picking it up sometime next week......just waiting for them to get the NY registration. I would like to thank everyone for sharing their advice and knowledge, on this remarkable machine! I test drove it, and i can say now "I get it"!

Congratulations!! I can say from my 26 months behind the wheel of a Pomegranate Pearl RLX PAWS that I have received numerous compliments about the color. The detailing place I go to says it's one of their favorite cars - and they detail lots of exotic cars there. Also, I had my car serviced at a different Acura dealer than the one I leased it at, and the service department was raving about the color when I picked it up. They never carried Pomegranate at that dealer, so mine was the first they ever saw.

My local dealer had only a black-on-black, but "traded" with another dealer so we could buy this one.

One more pomegranate RLX and there is enough for a smoothie.
I like the color but I did not want the seacoast interior. Am I the only one that does not care for the color name? It just seems like it was chosen as part of the healthy craze? Should we also have acai? The few times I mentioned 'pomegranate' as a color, the response was 'purple?'
I am color blind, and although I see all colors, I see some differently and impacted by the surrounding colors. But to me, it comes across as Merlot. Rich dark red in the sun, more browns in the shade. Merlot would have been a snappier color name IMHO, and keep those Torrance marketers (who believe California is the center of the universe) happy.
But then again, the AA community may have been offended....

I like the Greystone much better that the Seacoast, but the exterior colors that come with the Greystone are too much work for me. I have the same color combination as yours on my 2014 MDX, and keeping it clean and blemish free is way too much work, especially in the winter!
That being said, the Seacoast RLX interior has grown on me......

Funny though, I find the Graphite showing less dust and film between washes. The darker colors, including Pomegranate better show the luster and depth of the finish, I find expose polishing scratches, dust and film between washes.
But in the 8 weeks I have had my SH, it has rained EVERY day with exception of just 5 days. Other than one was and nano way application, it looks quite good.

The appearance can be really different, depending on the light and angle.
But to be honest: the person that really likes the color is my wife. It was one of the points that convinced her to let me buy the car.
So, that makes it a GREAT color.

Still loving the color, especially because they seem to be a lot more rare than the black, gray and white that I always see. While I would have preferred the greystone interior if it was offered in Pomegranate, having it regularly cleaned, it almost looks new more than 2 years in. I like the fact that the floor mats are grey as well, as I am sure seacoast carpets would be hard to keep clean.

Then again, I was an early lessee and I did a zero down, few hundred off MSRP deal, so you may get a better deal than I did. That was after shopping dealers all over Ohio. My car had to be delivered from another dealer and the dealer covered delivery costs ($500) for me. They also threw in several hundred $ of accessories for my nearly MSRP trouble.
Residual was 49% on my deal. You may want to PM Colin to get current money factors.

There is no financial support for the RLX Sport Hybrid so a lease may be costly unless you get a significant break on MSRP or you put significant money down.

The payment is immaterial. It depends on how much you put down, whether you bundle your taxes in, your residual, your money factor, and how much you negotiate on the price of the car itself.

Yes, but having problem with the dealer as far as numbers. They don't want to come down on the SH, sell it to me for MSRP plus accessories and only want to give me $34,000 for my car. My car an 11 month old 2015 RLX PAWS Advance with accessories and 11,700 miles. Not sure I want to take that kind of a hit and buy a car that depreciate this fast. Looking at the web, the RLX appears to not hold it value, both the RLX or SH. Most luxury cars do depreciation fast but not as bad as the RLX. But I can't seem to get the dealer to negotiate, I knew this may happen when I told them I was interested in the car and they did not want to talk numbers. May just walk away and see if they are willing to budge. If not I will dump the car for a sport car. If I am going to take that kind of a hit I might as well get a totally different car. but this time I will lease.

2016 Sport Hybrids have finally started showing up in the Los Angeles area. Just picked up my 2016 RLX SH-AWD Crystal Black Pearl / Ebony Advance and it is amazing. Even the infotainment system is better than I expected. The nav is much more responsive than our 2014 MDX. I like the way the XM station will show song and artist on the lower screen. The 2014 MDX does not.
