not just eye candy

Aren't these pretty? I just got a front set of Stoptech Sportstop drilled rotors and Brembo NAO ceramic pads as my front brakes have been fried for the last 2k miles or so (I've got 33k on the clock). They sure do look pretty, and man, the cars feels sooooooo much better. Brake dust isn't all that bad, maybe a little more than stock, but I use a really good automated car wash 3-4 times a week and will never notice that--especially with the black wheels. Anywho, there is no noise, no scrubbing, no oxidation over the last 10 days or so (stock has it every morning here in Florida) and their bite is nice and crisp. I've only got 150 miels or so on them, so nothing truly spirited or panic inducing as of yet. I do highly recommend these, though (I got them through Tire Rack for like $375 shipped and had them put on for $100--costing a hell of a lot less than stock

)...

Those are super nice, great pick!!!
Did you consider 20" or 21" during the process of picking these, or you were set on stock size 19"?
Any suggestion against going size or two larger other than potential mpg being impacted? I feel RLX SH craves 20 or 21" as it looks much better from the side view.

I love the look! I had something similar on my 11 MDX Adv and all I had to do is replace the pads once in +9 years. Wanted to do the same for my 19 MDX hybrid and 18 RLX hybrid; but, wasn't sure on what to get because selection is so limited.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd just have gone up to 20" wheels. Frankly, I experimented with 20" wheels on my older RLX's and there was a difference in road noise without the hemholtz (sp?) things in the wheels. On this car, not so much. In the end, I went with 19's just because I curbed one of my wheels right after taking delivery and the repair was half as much as me just buying 5 new 19" wheels. Go figure!

I just drove to Pensacola this week and did a bit more spirited driving on the way back after getting 500 miles on these. They are a night and day difference in overall brake feel for sure--much needed for this heavy car. And again, with the black wheels, the any increased dust I do not even notice...

Hahaha--nah--not really the look, more for the performance as stock Acura brakes are literally the WORST. And after a few weeks now, these are awesome and I saved quite a bit over stock brake prices. I can live with the red, especially with black wheels and a white car (with a black roof, too)...
