Need new RLX owners help

I am considering a used 2014 RLX which would be my third. I had a 2007 and currently a 2010. Both I have really really enjoyed. I love the look of the RLX both the interior and exterior. The improved gas mileage is a big plus for me. I am also considering a TLX new and a used Lexus GS350. Right now the RLX is way out in front. I would very much appreciate RLX owners weighing in on their decision. A few of your biggest likes and dislikes would be great. It can be as brief as a rating on a scale of 1-10 your satisfaction. Thanks!!

I just brought a 2015 RLX on Sept 17th and love it. I looked hard at the TLX SH AWD Advance but it did not have the leg room and comfort look that I was looking for in a car. I also did not car about the AWD, since I have had FWD for years. The TLX has about the same technology plus a couple others that I wish were in the RLX, the head up display and Rear Cross Traffic Monitor. But the RLX has much more space front and back, interior is great, roomy and comfortable, the Kreel Audio System is out of this world and all the windows are Acoustic glass, not just the windshield. This is what I was looking for in a car since me and my wife love to cruise on the weekends. However, that said it depends on what you are looking for with a car and the price you are willing to pay, is 12K more worth it for a larger car such as the RLX versus the RLX, it was for me. That the price I paided for the 2015, $56.7k

I have a 2014 Advance.
Overall I really like the car. And as stated above, Krell is awesome.
Only 2 negatives to me are:
stiff suspension. I had an RL before and the ride in the RLX is much harsher.
Navi and in general UI response is slow and frustrating at times

I have my RLX since June of 2013. It's a great highway car, very quiet, and it gets great gas mileage. If I had a choice, I would certainly do it again, especially with the deals out there now.

Thumbs up Satisfied

Let me preface this by saying I have pretty basic car needs, so overall I am satisfied with the RLX - mostly because it has not given me any problems in the few months that I have owned it. It was a great price, has a lot of tech and luxury features that I enjoy. Others here have had problems with the suspension, UI & rattles but so far I have been lucky.

There are little things that I would liked changed like the orange ambient lighting (that is more of a sport color to me) and being able to operate the rear shade after you turn the car off (like on a GS) but nothing that makes me regret my decision.

Good luck!

I have primarily used our long-term RLX for longer drives, but have also had occasion to use it on some around town stuff. In general, the RLX has been a great car for long drives, but around town, the ride can be a bit brittle on certain surfaces. Overall though, it is hard no to appreciate the comfort, quiet, space, and level of technology included in the car. Add on the fact that the P-AWS system makes it handle like a car about one class smaller and it just sweetens the deal.

I moved from a '11 RL Tech to a '14 RLX Tech . Both great highway vehicles. The RLX has a lot more space. After one year, I have to admit that I made a mistake going away from AWD. The FWD RLX is really bad in the snow.

If you are in the great white North, think twice about going to FWD.

George, still looking for a used one with white or silver exterior and light color interior. I have a feeling I will need patience with this one. Seems if 90% of white and silver's have ebony interior. Missed by a week on a white with light interior at an Acura dealer right outside Asheville. Funny because my wife and I were going there last weekend. I called the dealer and they said it was sold. It had 80 miles. Not a typo. Older couple bought it and traded in less than a week because it was to low to get into so bought a MDX. GRRRR!!!

A white with Advance will *never* have an ebony interior, if that's any help to you. White Advance is always Seacoast.

Silver almost always has ebony interior. Advance always has ebony, but you might find a silver Tech package with the color called Graystone.

I was about to tell you that they had my Forged Metal Advance for sale up here but then I noticed your wanting a light interior. :-) Mine was ebony, of course.
