The Agent and Concierge choices will still work for me when the red light is showing, and 100% of the time whether or not my attempt to get an address was successful.
They are able to send the data to the car from their site where they are working, but they cannot understand (yet) why the automatic data send will fail sometimes.

I have 2 months left on my free trial and I have not used the Concierge yet. How does that work?

another puzzle piece
The acuralink icon goes away from apparent signal loss. Disappears only a few seconds. Green light stays green.

After a lot more driving in the car, this is what I can report about the light
The light changes from green top red after 10 minutes of driving 100% of the time. No apparent issues. Once turning red, it stays red the entire drive.
If I stop and turn off car for more than a minute or so, the light will come back on green and change to red after 10 minutes.

It might be my imagination, but the voice quality for "Concierge" is better than the voice quality for "Agent."
Three experiences with Agent, and two with Concierge, and that's the way it seems, anyway. No idea why.
You can use the Concierge to find a destination for you, the same way you'd use the Agent. But the main point of the Concierge service would be to stay connected a little longer to get a hotel reservation, a rental car at the dealer, or maybe tickets to something. Anytime you need a go-between, or detailed information while you are behind the wheel.

I found this on the MDX TSB: 14-011
AcuraLink System Status Indicator
The AcuraLink system status indicator shows you the status of AcuraLink. When the system is booted up, the indicator blinks red and green alternately once.
• Solid Green: The system is ready to use.
• Blinking Green: A call is being connected or in progress.
• Solid Red: There is a problem in the system.
• Alternately Blinks Red and Green: The self-diagnosis function is in use.

Thanks - so there is a problem in my system 100% of the time after 10 minutes.
Guess I should have them look at it

I'm able to send data to my car now even though the light is red. They had a trouble ticket for a while and asked me not to reset the system while they worked on it, and now I can send data to the car from my iMac or iPhone.
But the light is still red. LOL....

No nav traffic, no remote data, nothing.
Before the Nav traffic failed, for weeks I couldnt access the car remotely, then the traffic went.
I finally had enuf.

I don't have any apparent issues, but will contact Assist to see if they know what might be wrong
#55
Talked to Acuralink and Customer Care. They confirm it must be an issue, but have to take it to Dealer to diagnose.

I'm still occasionally getting a delay with receive the data packet with a new destination.
Red light goes green when I connect to AcuraLink, and I'll get the address recognized and and it says it'll be sent to the vehicle...but it might never arrive or it might arrive later than would be perfectly useful if you're trying to watch traffic.
Acura suggested that I go to the dealer and have the latest firmware installed, and the system reset.
I'll put that on the list of things to do, I guess. :-/
Am I the only person who thinks that AcuraLink has an unnecessary step in it?
"You said 9203 Caddidlehopper Lane in Richmond VA. Do you want to search for it?"
Well, of course I want to search for it if that's what I said.
LOL....
If it's not what I said, then I could say no and it could move on to the next choice and I'd try again.

I had a weird issue the other day when I started my car. The Krell/Acura logo popped up, then everything went black; no clock/nav/touch screen. Tried shutting off/starting car, didnt come back.
Since I bought it, I've had some 'long boots' where it'd start to boot, go black, and then boot up again but this time was different.
I parked the car for like 15mins and then turned it back on and everything came back except AcuraLink.
The light has been red since. I cant connect with the app, or connect to the rep with the button in car. I went to subscription status and it shows "check antenna"
I called AcuraLink from my cell and they told me I have to go to the dealer "at my earliest convenience" for them to look at it....Woo

quick update - my little light is now fixed - assuming always being green is good.
Unfortunately I cannot report on the "fix" as it fixed itself before I got appt with Dealer

Never got around to going to the dealer for the firmware flash.
Light is still very often red, but AcuraLink works on connect 100% of the time, traffic updates work reasonably well, and I have been able to sent data to the car reliably for quite a while now.
If it stops acting right, maybe I'll get around to it, but in the mean time that the light's red sometimes really doesn't bug me.

Ever since my light stayed green, I've had a drone following me around. I figured it was either Acura's new customer care service or Tampa got a new toy

The clarity is amazing, which reminds me getakey..... a polyester clip-on necktie?

Had to take the car in twice. Once to diagnose, once to replace. They had my car overnight when they replaced the unit.
Problem seemed to go away, my light went green, and my AcuraLink started working again....for like 2 weeks. Then my iOS/Android/Web App was showing me incorrect data. Different mileage, different gas levels, door status, etc.
Called AcuraLink, they resent the signal to my car and it started to work. Again, 3ish weeks later, same issue. Called again and they resent the signal.
I have a ticket open with AcuraLink and Acura Client Services. Now my light is red again.
I got a message from AcuraLink Tech Support that they have determined that I have a "hardware problem" and to take it to my dealer as soon as I can.
I have to bring it in first thing tomorrow morning and explain to the dealer whats going on.
This is getting really irritating and inconvenient. Like everyone else, I paid a considerable amount for the car and to keep bringing it in for repeat issues is getting to be a pain. The dealership is about a half hour away (and across a bridge with tolls, traffic especially before and after work which is the only time I have to bring it in)

After my last post, I had to bring in my RLX to the dealer for them to replace the "HDD Unit" PN: 39543-TY2-A02

Since my last post, I brought the car to the dealer, they 'fixed it' and it seemed to be working well for a few months until about 3 weeks ago.
No acuralink services work (app, link, assist, traffic etc)
I also have that "Check Antenna" error message. I called AcuraLink who told me yet again its a "hardware problem" . I setup an appointment with my dealer and have to take it in next week.
I also called Acura Client Relations just so they can keep notes on my ongoing issues (I've called them for this issue last year when I was experiencing them)
This is a really irritating problem, out of the 14 months I've had the car, MAYBE 4 months total my service has worked. When I picked up the car I immediately signed up for 3 years of the concierge service too...so hopefully I can get credited for all the time this has been down.
I just hit 12,000 miles a few days ago as well, pretty crazy I've had all these electronics issues in the first 14months/12,000 miles.

Just a quick update..went to the dealer, car was worked on for about 2-3 hours and they couldn't figure out what caused the issue. They unplugged the battery of the car and reconnected and the system started to work again.
This is the second time that they've had to reset the battery for this AcuraLink issue.

mine would be green when i start the car then at some point it would turn red. Now its red all the time. I checked the acuralink status thru the setting screen and it says "check antenna". I noticed this when I inserted a CD to rip to the HDD and it couldn't find the album/track titles, which I assumed is fetched thru acuralink service.
I guess back to acura it goes. There is a TSB for the acuralink unit ... maybe it needs replacing.
