hybrid "electric parking brake" malfunction

As a refresher, I have a 2016 hybrid bought in April, 2016 - now 6000 miles. Today had a malfunction notice of "electric parking brake problem". At the same time, got an emissions systems problem alarm. They seemed so disconnected, that I suspected a weak battery. I turned the car off and back on, hoping to reboot. No luck. I have an appointment at the dealer first thing Tuesday. I'll keep you updated.

Probably the O2 sensor? This has been reported before.

Thanks! I try to keep up with all the good info on here, but I miss some things. Thankful for all the folks on here that willingly share their knowledge with everyone!

Well, I got the car back from the dealer. they claim there was no O2 code, so no O2 sensor problem. There were many other codes, so they diagnosed as a low battery. (Drove car about a half hour, then parked for an hour...upon restart, trouble lights came on.) They then cleared all codes and tested the battery...test shows battery good. This is my first time with this dealer. I'm not getting a warm feeling. I'll update if more warning messages appear.

It's a major inconvenience for you, but you'll have to just return to the dealer every time you get an error message until they agree to replace the battery under warranty. Feel free to refer them to this forum to educate them on how other dealerships have handled similar problems and SOLVED the problem by a simple battery replacement. Alternatively, and another major inconvenience, would be to find another dealer. It really sucks that you have to go through this for presumably such a simple issue. Good luck getting it resolved.

It is the battery 100%, more like 1000%.
