Higher mileage RLX purchase?

Hi all.... I'm currently in a 3G TL and have been interested in trading up to a more up-to-date set of wheels. About a year ago I took my TL in for some service and was given an RLX as a loaner. I loved the look and feel of it.

Anyhow, I see a lot of 2014 RLX examples on the market with around 100,000 miles..... in your opinion(s), would purchasing an RLX with that kind of mileage (assuming no obvious damage and with service records available) be something that would make sense?

Thanks for your thoughts....

I can only say that some people are more particular about keeping up with maintenance than others. If you get a good one, it is an awesome car. Mine at 92,000 feels, drives, looks and performs like new. But I am OCD about it all.

My wife moved from her '12 TL SH-AWD (which she loved) to an '18 RLX SH-AWD and is very happy with the change. It's a different car for sure - more luxury, heavier, a bit bigger. But she wanted a little less "grunt" and "stiff suspension" feel and wanted more luxury and keep the SH-AWD. And she never liked the TLX after several drives in different ones. So she made the move.

We couldn't afford a brand new one, but she wanted something relatively new if she could find it. We ended up with a dealer loaner with only 1200 (yes, twelve hundred) miles on it for over 30 percent under MSRP, with full CPO coverage. It's essentially new for less than the sticker of an Advance SH-AWD TLX. As was said above, a higher mileage RLX is likely not problematic - as long as it was maintained. So if you can find one with decent maintenance records to review, you should be OK. My wife plans on keeping hers for at least 10 years (was 7 years on the TL), so I'm not worried about longevity here since I'm pretty overkill-centric on the maintenance...

I found and bought "grandpas" 2014 RLX 10 months ago with 70K miles. I'm now at 80K and it runs like new.
What I was SHOCKED by was that the floor fell out of the used market. I got a "deal" last December at $18k and a recent valuation had me at $11k. So for $11-$13K the RLX is a great car. I do hate the suspension on my 2014. Its beyond rough.

my 2017 RLX A Paws VIN 62 will be available Next November as a lease return, if you want to wait that long.

There are some recalls and TSB that you will want to be sure have been performed.

But at its heart, it's still a Honda.

My KC2 is fairly high mileage and hasn't given me much trouble at all.
