Question Fog Lights ??

I know the 2014 RLX doesn't come with fog lights, which Sucks

I know fog lights are not necessary and not needed with the new Jewel Eye LED head lights on the RLX. But fog lights sure do look cool !

I am hoping that fog lights will be available as an optional accessory when the 2014 RLX Hybrid comes out this fall.

Because Acura already announced that they will offer LED fog lights on the new 2014 MDX as a dealer installed optional accessory.

Soooo....

May be there is a chance that Acura will do the same for the RLX Hybrid

Why aren't fog lights needed with the Jewel Eye??

I live near the coast and often drive in moderate to heavy fog. I use the fog lights on my RL frequently. My understanding is that one of the main differences with fog lights is the way they are aimed.....lower down towards the pavement. Do the Jewel allow you to adjust from the drivers seat the way the LEDs are aimed???? Is there a "fog" setting???

In one of the threads, someone posted a vid explaining the fill pattern of the jewel eye lights. It is impressive.

That said, I thought one feature of fog lights is the yellow color which helps to see someone coming at you with fog lights.

I would be interested to see if the Fog Lights are retrofitable to the Std RLX???
I will say this, that during my return trip I was departing Ohio and the Fog was thick as soup and the combination of Jeweled headlights and the CMBS & LKAS allowed me to continue on with confidence rather than stop and wait for the fog to burn off, which would have taken a few hours.

same here. the design behind the jewel eye LED is pretty amazing. I ran into some pretty thick fog a few weeks back and you simply don't need fog lights.

sure they look cool, but I don't miss them. I personally like the simplicity behind the jewel eye and no fog light. just one more thing for me that makes the RLX stand-out instead of having to follow every other brand out there and be part of the "me-too" crowd of cars.
