2020 RLX Hybrid. 37k miles. I moved out of my Arlington hi rise with underground parking I shared with 300 of my other closest resident and neighbors into a single family house with 2 car garage. So my Acura now gets hand washed instead of commercial car wash and the occasional waterless wash I would do in the underground garage
Used Dr Beasley's 1201 Ceramic NanoCoat. Used foam gun and Griots Garage finish prep followed by Dr Beasleys NSP 45 Surface Primer and NSP 95 Finishing Surface Primer. Used my Griots Garage random orbital for the 2 surface primers. This is not a permanent super hard long term coating, it is a 1 year coating. It came out great and really leaves the finish with huge depth and clarity.
I started detailing cars for cash in metro NYC in the 7th grade and all through college. I get a tremendous amount of personal satisfaction out of it. My dad at 82 still hand washes and waxes his and my mom's cars. I guess it is in our genes. Sadly, after living in Northern Virginia for 18 years I have yet to see a young person ever hand washing a car and rarely see an adult. Apparently manual labor is really shunned in this neck of the backwoods unless that manual labor involves a luxury indoor gym!
