2023 Accords Gets RLX Wheel
Part of our RLX will live on in the new 2023 Accord. Looks like Honda is using the same RLX Advance wheel on it

First impression of the front looks like a step backwards for the Accord? The all new Honda Accord make the TLX/RLX look even better.
The +18 RLX Sport Hybrid rims are not my favorite. I had a pinch flat from winter caused pothole just 3 days after purchase. I was lucky not to bend the rim driving +50 mph AND I installed the spare tire kit at purchase (great advice from others on this forum). I replaced with aftermarket rims to save me some headaches down the road.

I have had to have 2 of my 2020 RLX advance rims re-trued after 60K miles (car developed noticeable shake). Most late model cars with low profile tires have rim bend and sidewall rupture sensitivity. My sister in Metro NYC had to replace her Audi after 25k miles and 11 bent rim/sidewall blowouts. They were nice looking OEM wheels but sure not robust enough for rough road conditions.
The new Accord reminds me of a toned down RLX. I bet it sells well relative to the few sedans left on the market. The Hybrid looks like it will be a great value proposition. My first Honda product was a brand new 1988 Black Accord Lxi. I loved that car and it really sold me on Honda engineering. There is still a little of that special magic Honda DNA in the RLX.

My parent had a 1976 Honda Accord 2 door hatch with a two speed semi-auto (no foot clutch) transmission you had to shift between 1st and 2nd gears yourself. Very early ancestor of the gear selector sport shifter before we went to paddle shifters. I had an 1981 manual 2-dr Accord hatch, later added an 88 Honda 4-dr LX, 89 Accord LXi hatch, and 97 Honda Accord LX 4dr was my last before jumping ship to Acura in 2006. Acura back then was out of my price range until my 06 TSX Aspec. Those Honda's lasted me forever and sold each or handed down to family with 150,000-200,000 miles on the odo. Miss the days of popping the Honda hood and seeing the ground around the engine.

That new infotainment looks nice and fast! Wish we had that on our RLX. And I agree, front-end is hideous.
