Today I drove a '14 RLX P-AWS and it was literally the best car I ever sat in. Dead quiet going down the road which I love the sound deadening materials they used as part of the Krell audio package which sounds AMAZING. I was blown away at the clarity of the sound. Soft touch everywhere. Headliner was super soft as were the visors. I could literally go on. I was giddy while signing the loan application. Should hear back tomorrow. It has 81,000 miles and it looks like it has 20,000. Only $18k for it as well.

It rides great but it can be even better with 18's. I believe it has 245/45(or 40)/19 inch tires. What is the most sidewall I can safely get on a 245 width tire that is 18 inches?

Kind of too late unless I'm denied, but I heard early examples had issues with P-AWS and suspension. Is it really a concern? Car drove amazing down the freeway with barely any road noise and it was smooth over road imperfections.

God I can't wait for this. It has literally everything I want in a car. European snobs are like oh it's not RWD and no V8. Boo hoo. At least it's going to last 300-400,000 miles unlike those crappy BMW's Broke My Wallet.

Buy the car, drive it home, and LOVE IT. Those are amazing cars for under 20K. Reliability will be fine.

I still have the opportunity, but I'm seriously thinking of walking from it. I've read things on the site and other pages on the internet that people with the early models have had major issues with the PAWS system. I also heard that this was fixed by the 2016 model year. Is this true? And no warranty is offered on this car so that's another scary thought.

I'd go with the 2016 if you can find them for a good price or splurge on the SH-AWD. I've had quite a few issues with my 2014 PAWS to the point where I've accepted it, but also going to trade it in by end of the summer.

My issues have been:
-PAWS has this weird lag at times when I floor it, it felt like turbo lag haha
-The rear wheels have changed directions on me, causing me to fish tail or shudder on the highway. This hasn't happened in a while, but man was that scary the few times it did.
-You'll have to align the rear wheels and my mechanic has come across seized bolts not related to the aligning the wheels a few times (can happen to any all wheel drive car tbh)
-Lately I've been having these weird electrical gremlins pop up (both screens have gone blank the entire day, every light has lit up on the dash at random times, rear camera randomly stops working) I'm currently at 110k miles

Take my issues with a grain of salt because everyone's experiences are different, but the ride was smooth for me in the honeymoon phase also.
