'17 RLXawd console noise
Anyone have an idea how to remove the trim on the console - transmission button, parking brake, trim? I have a creak/squeak I need to track down and quiet with felt. Any other suggestion?

Sorry I can't help you with technical help on removing the console trim, but my advice would be to first have about a dozen people separately ride in the car with you to confirm the location of the creak/squeak before you start disassembling the console. I've had noises that I swear were in one part of the car which turned out to be from somewhere completely different, like from my air pressure gauge rattling in the glovebox. The interior of cars have so many sound reflecting surfaces that locating strange noises is extremely difficult. I know I'm stating the obvious and I'm sure that you have been thorough in your investigations of the noise, but I just thought it would be wise to reconfirm the location before taking things apart lest you create more noises than you fix.
Good luck with your repair.

it's probably the tray inside the console box. I find that if I slide that tray toward the front it minimizes the rattle. Remove the tray to see if your rattle goes away. I haven't yet found any ways to put felt tape on it to cut down on the rattles.
I always drive with water bottle in the cup-holder. That too will cause some rattling. It's annoy AF, but this car is so freaking quiet inside, I can hear every minute noises.

I had a rattle coming from the center console that I was able to figure out once I got instructions on just pulling the ac vent assembly off the back of the center console. The vent assembly has 6 clips on it as pictured.
There is a guide stick that is visible when you open the center console cover to the left or right.
That guide stick is what is rattling when the console is in the closed position.
There is a pad that is it supposed to rest on in order not to rattle but I had to add some duct tape that would barely contact the guide stick and keep it steady.
The top circle is the guide stick. The bottom circle is what I had to wrap with two layers of duct tape.
This is on a 2019.
