White RDX With Black Powder Coated Wheels
I powder coated the advance wheels (semi-gloss) black and also painted the calipers red. Thought I'd share how it looked. Total cost was was $105 a wheel and $60 each for calipers. Dealer wanted to charge me $1800 to paint wheels. I was out the door for $650.

Did he take the calipers off, or did he paint them on the car?

Also, you should consider having the article caps painted/coated also. A skilled shop can remove the chrome Acura badging, paint the cap and replace. It's a bit of cautious effort, but it can be done. A friend of mine did it for his Infiniti and it completed the look of his wheels. He paid a guy $80 per cap to do it, but mind you, everything is expensive in Canada. I'm sure you could get it done for much much less.

I'm about 95% sure he left the calipers on.
I made a design decision to NOT have him paint the caps as I thought the wheel lugs and caps would provide a little contrast and match up with the chrome accents. I wanted to black out all of chrome accents too, but my wife likes them and it's her car.. Soooo.. I still have the option to paint them as my guy said he'd dip them for free when/if I wanted.

Awesome! Glad to see someone else did the same as I did. Crazy how much the look of them changes when they are black vs. stock! Your guy did a great job! I chose to have the caps blacked out as well a day after doing them because the silver chrome cap didn't grow on me as much as I thought it would (and I plan to black out the chrome accents next year), but I did leave the wheel lugs chrome. Those calipers look awesome!!! Something else i'll add to the list to do in the next year or two! Enjoy the vehicle!

Resolution on the first pic sucks. Don't have any good full car pics. I don't think you can go wrong with either finish (chrome or black cap) but I just felt the black cap gave it a clean finish. FYI, i went full gloss to match the majestic black pearl finish. I think the semi-gloss you went with was a perfect choice for the DWP colour!

Oh man! I love it! I have the Advance SH-AWD in white (like yours) and wanted to do the same thing! I need to find a good place in the Houston area to do that.
When you paint the Calipers - is that something that is ok to do? I just wanted to make sure that this does not void the warranty in any way?
