Can't disagree with you there, dude. I almost always replace worn out OEM-supplied tires with the appropriate all weather Michelins once they become ineffective for winter snow use. I am completely sold on them. Discount Tire likes me.

Best all weather tires in my opinion are the Goodyear weather ready. Had on my 2016 rdx and they were great in upstate NY with few inches on the road. Plan to put on once winter is back as the Continental sport 20” on my 2019 aren’t going to cut it in NY winters.

- Good wet and dry traction.
- Poor traction in winter conditions.
- They wear quickly.
- They are ridiculously overpriced.
- They are somewhat noisy on certain road surfaces (apparently more of an issue with RDX's).
They will be replaced with Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II long before they reach their useful service life.

They came factory equipped on my Nautilus but most of my observations should apply:
- Good wet and dry traction.
- Poor traction in winter conditions.
- They wear quickly.
- They are ridiculously overpriced.

I find it weird that the Continental CrossContact LX25 are the highest rated SUV tire but, the CrossContact LX Sport are amongst the lowest.
Guess which one is the OEM tire for Acura, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volvo..
Hint: It’s not the good one.
I had switched to Michelin CrossClimate SUV but, they have an aggressive directional tread that I no longer need because I have X-Ice Snow SUVs for Winter.
I will probably go with the Pirellis as well when the Contis hit 10K. I don’t think I want another set of Continentals.. The DWS06 on my TLX were not as impressive as I was led to believe and the CrossContact LX Sport are relatively sucky..

What is your experience with Michelin CrossClimate SUV tire? The stock tires on the RDX Eagle RSA is terrible. I had only 12k miles on it and don’t want to throw away tires still have a lot of life left.

I noticed that CrossClimate SUV are rated A for traction while CrossClimate 2 are rated B. I’m surprised since they look identical.
I had Eagle RSAs on my 1995 Pontiac Grand Am GT. That’s how modern and up-to-date they are.

I have an appointment to install the Pirelli Scorpion Verde Plus II on Saturday.
I’ve never had Pirelli tires before but, they are rated higher than the Michelins and are $300 less so kind of a no-brainer.

Look forward to see what you think of the Pirellis. At this point we are likely just going to let our Continental 'winter' tires wear out (needed them in Reno..definitely not now that we are back in Vegas....and not put the stock Goodyears back on even though they are virtually brand new. The tire that has caught my attention the past few weeks that I have seen so many great reviews on are the Crossclimate 2's. To look at the tread I thought they were winter tires, but aren't. More expensive, but Michelin (Costco frequently) has something like $150 off a set of 4.

The tire store called and won’t have the Pirellis until Tuesday.
Testing shows that the Michelin CrossClimate tires are better than the Pirellis in snow but, I have dedicated snow tires, Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV.
Yes, I actually have two full sets of those beautiful Advance wheels. Got them for $600 with tpms, center caps, free shipping and no tax. Couldn’t pass them up.

I got the Michelin CrossClimate SUV installed yesterday on the A-Spec at a local Town Fair Tires. The price for each tire was $240 compared to Tirerack $262. However the store manager added other fees totaled $1229. I knew he jacked the fees up but it still came out $100 higher if I went with Tirerack and ASAP mobile tire installation. The mobile install price exclude 4 Wheel alignment. My OEM tires had less than 15k on it with a lot of thread left. It’s junk Goodyear Eagle RSA. The CC is much better with quieter ride and smooth over rough surfaces. I had a Crossclimate2 set on the Accord.

Well ToniRDX19, that got me wondering if the G3 RDX has to have, or benefits from, XL load tires. The stock original Goodyears ( I have a 2019 ASpec) appear to be just SL load, and the list of tires that shows up under a search of factory size on Discount tires shows results for both SL and XL mixed together (there's 5 XL's and 3 SL's). I didn't even realize there was an 'SUV' version of the Cross Climates until your post as I was not looking at stock factory original tire size on Discount Tire, but was checking a slightly different size.
Where only the CrossC...2's (SL load) show up in the oversize size I was looking at, the factory original size just shows a CrossC....SUV's (XL Load). My owners manual is in the car, which is out of town, so that does me no good.

The CrossClimate SUV in 255/45/20 were excellent all around including in snow. Regardless of aggressive tread they were quiet and also handled very well. Gas mileage took a small hit.

For the RDX the Michelin CC SUV tires are great. I just put in 700 miles on a vacation trip. I thought the MPGs will take a hit with the aggressive treat pattern but it was not. I actually got better fuel economy than the OEM stock tires. If I stick with the speed limit 65-70 MPH I got 28.2 MPG. On average I got 25.2 doing 80-90 MPH using premium gas. On the OEM tires I got around 23 MPG and lower going over 75 MPH.
So far I am happy with the CC SUV and it looks great, too.

I’ll be needing new tires for the winter. Since I never ‘must’ get anywhere, I no longer get snow tires and just go with good all seasons. I can always wait for the snow to be cleared and never get caught out in a serious storm.
Unlike my working days.

Now that I’m retired and don’t need to be anywhere, I bought a set of Michelin X-Ice Snow SUV on dedicated wheels.
I had some form of hysteria about Pennsylvania winters. I’ll put it down to PTSD.
It’s probably overkill but, I plan to enjoy my first set of winter tires since 1977.
