MDX A-Spec Tires
Was at the dealer today for service. The service department is in a different location from the showroom but, they have a small satellite showroom there.
They had a MDX A-Spec parked next to a RDX A-Spec.
The MDX uses 245/45/20 Continentals while the RDX uses 255/45/20 Goodyear’s.
I was surprised that the MDX uses smaller tires since it’s a larger vehicle.
Is the RDX finally putting an end to Acura/Honda’s penchant for undersized tires?

Are you sure they weren't 245/50R20 on the MDX A-spec? I think that's standard for current MDX Tech and higher trims, starting with the 2017 model year.
Our 2014 ( 3rd-gen ) MDX Tech runs on 245/55/R19. 245/50R20 would be the next "+1" size.
As for "undersize", it's a tradeoff between fuel efficiency, dry grip, and 4-season capability. Wide summer tires suck fuel and suck in foul weather conditions.
But Tire Rack claims that the stock size for 2019 MDX A-Spec is 265/45R20, if that makes you feel better.
