Turbo intercooler heatsoak issue
i know turbo cars are prone to heat soak during really hot ambient temperatures causing a decrease in power. Basically, a turbo relies on cold dense air coming from the intercooler to produce power. When the intercooler/engine gets too hot and cant produce cold / dense air, the timing retards and reduces power to prevent pinging or knock so it doesnt damage the engine. Has anyone notice during really hot ambient temps a decrease in power while accelerating/ normal driving?
