Apex Blue Pearl Thread

First post! Helped my sister take delivery of her ABP on Monday and super proud of her first car purchase. I've owned a lot of Acuras, but the ABP is incredibly striking...It looks simply amazing in both day time and night time. We took her RDX out for a quick spin in the parking lot so she could take some photos of her new car. For my wife and I who are still on leases for another year, there's no doubt we'll both probably go for the RDX next as well. Really the question is "sooo which color do we choose?"

Nice! I put a deposit down last night on the blue....I’ve been back and forth between blue and black and I’m still not sure 😂 but I didn’t want them to sell it until I get back in there. The black would have to be located and probably take a few weeks or more.

any guys out there have thoughts on blue vs black? I feel like the novelty of blue might wear off after a while...it is gorgeous though

Nice but...its the wife's car and she wanted no part of Apex Blue. Could have already had the car, as it was in the dealership. But she wanted drab Gray and I wanted the red interior, so we got the A-spec modern Steel.
Besides, I also disliked the Blue because it reminds me of a local guy with a Subie WRX-STi thats always trying to egg me on with my S5.

Congrats! I agree that the gray is kinda ho-hum but the red interior is fire. Would love to see some pics if you get the chance!

Apex Blue A Spec is amazing.

Then Red A spec.

Seen both in sun and shade and both are awesome.... But I'll take Blue.

White is bland. Gray is ok. Black Advance looks better than Black A Spec. But I'll never get another black car.

Great vid btw. The apex blue is different in the sun ... But that's a great representation of the colour in the shade or after dusk. Love how it changes depending on light.

I'm not a "black car guy"...but, what is novel about black? Nothing....so many black vehicles everywhere. This ABP is an amazing color. Striking and won't "grow old" to look at...like the black will . You will have a rare color that few
will have or ever see. Black....blah...they are everywhere!! All darker vehicles are more of a pain to keep shiny and nice....but...BLACK is the worst. That's why I won't ever buy another black vehicle. Looks nice when perfectly
shiny and clean, etc...but, the work it takes to keep them that way is just too much. Black shows everything.

I would have gone out of my comfort zone and gone with the ABP with red int. but, my wife wanted white/red....and that's what we got! LOL!!

pressure washer. I need to play around with it a bit more. Wasn’t getting as much foam as I hoped. Maybe backing off the throttle. My washer is 3200 psi so it’ll take paint off 😂

yeahcmy body lines are good. Only flaw I see is the driver side rear door isn’t totally flush but it’s not enough to make an issue out of it. All the trim looks good and tight.

After months of humming and hawing between red vs blue, I finally pulled the trigger and joined the new RDX club! Still wish Canadian models came with the red interior option, but I love how this colour looks in person.

(Ironically I hadn't seen one Apex Blue all summer...in a dealership or otherwise...but had one drive by me just as I was parking it on the driveway. :P )

I also had a hard time trying to decide between blue, red, black or modern steel A-Spec but blue won out in the end. It's now my 4th blue car and I've only had 4 daily drivers. The decision really shouldn't have taken me that long.
Here's some pics of mine with the running board accessory. I haven't seen anyone else with one yet. I also haven't seen another ABP A-Spec around town yet.

The running boards are the OEM ones installed by my dealership. They're of very good quality, says "RDX" on each board and thankfully don't change the overall look too much.

Was messing around with HDR today (I know, hurts my eyes too). Needless, little tad different. Sun flair on the bumper is legit...using a 1.8 prime, directly into the sun.

Very nice! Do you mind if I ask how much that cost you to have the wheels powder coated?

Hah, I know who you now, Vibrant...I actually saw the posting on FB.

Not sure if you remembered but you actually installed my Aspec suspension on my White RSX way back then.

I finally saw a blue one in the wild this past weekend. Took pretty much a year to actually see one! I love that color.
