2019 RDX Brake Calipers
Has anyone modded or replaced their brake calipers on their 19' RDX? I have the technology rims which provide a ton of clearance for break calipers and am interested in getting something after market or ideally Acura brand. I'm trying to stay away from the random fake eBay ones.

I'm looking for some info on this as well. I have a Modern Steel Metallic A-SPEC and am wanting to have red brake calipers installed. Not really wanting to try and paint them myself or install the MGP covers.

I just took a look at the MGP Covers website and I’m probably gonna get a set color matched to my A-Spec. They look really nice and easy to install.

I had a set of those on another ride a few years ago and the fit was terrible.....not even close. The dude at MGP said "more people should be willing to cut / grind". I returned them. That said, this was years ago and I'd still love to have a set on the RDX.

I have same color Aspec.....going to paint the brakes red. I’ve done this on 4:cars over the years using both spray and brush on Dupli-Color. I like the brush on system better than spraying.

I would assume that the prep process is pretty easy on a new vehicle? I've never painted brake calipers before but I'm contemplating trying it on my RDX. Especially after a local wheel repair shop quoted me $450 to do the job...

Easy....and cheap. Duplicolor kit costs under $25.... you need floor a floor jack and jack stands. Prep easy on new car. Brake cleaner comes in kit.
The only way $450 could be justified is if the brakes are removed completely and disassembled then painted with epoxy. I’ve used the Duplicolor on several cars...the brush on ismbetter than spray. Duplicolor has a video explaining.

They're good!
I have a set on my Mazdaspeed and they look great and hold up amazingly well, as it seems that everything in Arizona is gonna get chipped up or cracked by the rocks and sand we live with but these look like new.
I just ordered a set for my new RDX A-Spec.

The inconvenient truth
The duplicolor kit does work really well. But I would suggest going to the dollar store and picking up a set of brushes because the paint brush the kit comes with is really really cheap and crappy.

I have them, now trying to figure out who I should hire to install them. My son has my floor jack, so if we can get together we can do it. Any other thoughts of who should install? It’s easy. I got the guys at Discount Tire to do it for my Mazdaspeed3
