Dog pictures in back of 3G RDX
Hi everyone! My wife and I are thinking of getting a 2019 RDX but we’re afraid our two 60 pounds boxers won’t fit in the back without lowering our rear seats.
If you own a 3G RDX, would you please post images of your dogs in the back with the seats up. I’m trying to see if they will fit in the back.
Thank you!

Whether they will "fit" and whether they will willingly stay there are two very different questions. Keep in mind dogs are derived from wolves, and wolves live in dens. They are happy to curl up in positions and places that would cause us extreme stress. But dogs also want to be near their humans.
I measure the cargo area behind the rear seats at roughly 40" wide x 31 inches deep x 30 inches high, accounting for the slope of the seat and the rear hatch.
My 40-45 pound Brittanys currently travel in plastic dog crates, and I have to lower the rear seats and push the crates forward for both crates to fit.
My dogs would "fit" fine with the seats up, but there is no way they would stay back there without a barrier.

We have an 80+ pound labradoodle and a 65-pound standard poodle. We have no problems with them in the back seats of our RDX with the seats in standard passenger configuration. However, a seat cover may be of value for recurring trips. ~gdc

No pictures, but I have 2 German Shepherds and went vehicle shopping for a SUV that not only met my needs but also would work to transport my dogs when needed. Besides the 2019 being a awesome looking vehicle, FUN to drive, with lots of features I myself love, it is one of the very few vehicles out there that when the back seats are folded down, the floor is basically flat! So my dogs will have tons of room if riding loose on short trips or I can put 2 plastic kennels in for them to ride longer distances. So for me, it was the perfect choice for my dogs and I! But I have no kids and HATE SUV's with 3rd row midget seats that only take up a ton of cargo space as I would never have the 3rd row seats up anyway. I will be buying a full cover that will attach to the front seat headrests , drape down the back of the front seats and then cover the entire cargo area to keep the fur basically contained and off the other surfaces. I know I didn't answer your question about your dogs fitting in the back with the rear seats up - sorry. My 2 dogs are much larger than yours and I would not expect them to ride in the way back with the rear seats up, but I do think they could physically fit if they each just sat up back there for short trips. But I have no need to make them ride like that. The only reason I didn't buy a sports car (which was what I really wanted but wasn't practical) was then I would have no way to transport my dogs. I was thrilled to find the RDX that drives more like a sports car but has the space and AWD of a SUV - best of both worlds for me :-) If I had not discovered the RDX, I probably would have bought the new Honda Passport as it doesn't have 3rd row seating and has a lot of cargo space. So if you need more room than the RDX has, you might want to look at that.

This is our Lilly
Lilly is 55 lbs.
IMO, you will have more than enough room for you 2 pups.

Anyway, you could replace the whole seat bottom for what I paid for either of my spoiled pooches. Not including vet bills or all the stuff they have "retired" for us.
But they enrich our lives.
