Here in Arizona we get only 91 octane. Last summer when we were driving through Oklahoma, I found “pure gasoline” which is gas with no corn blended in. We were in my wife’s Mazda CX-5 and I noticed no advantage in MPG, but it was kinda cool.

And we do have Costco for Top-Tier Premium. The price is usually just below the regular grade gas. I often plan trips around Costco gas fill-ups. The problem with that is that I usually need to pee, and Costco gives no provision for that. They don’t even have window washing implements. It’s like: just get your gas and go....there’s al one behind you. That’s OK

Which app is that that you are using to keep track? That's so cool! I've been using 93 octane because I can't find 91. Having said that, my RDX excels smoothly and consistently. I only have to fill up once a week for gas and usually get 21 city.

Mixed driving...first tank was 21, second was 25 and the 3rd was 23. On the 4th tank and it looks like it's going to be around 22. I have been playing with sport and sport+ a bit on this tank though, maybe a little heavy footed here and there. Just over 1,000 miles now. FUN motor...very smooth.

I have not hit 20 yet. Kind of surprised by some of the numbers are saying they are getting. I think my average right now is 19.7.

Are you heavy footed with the gas pedal and/or mostly city driving with a lot of stop and go traffic?

I find the car to be pretty quick even in comfort mode where I don't het too crazy on the gas pedal.

At 1,900 miles... Reached 26 mpg on a 300+ mile roadtrip. Mostly doing 70-80, 95% highway.

Averaged at 24-25 mpg.

Got 27.9 on my last trip with costco 93 octane for the first 313.8 miles. Mine is awd. All highway miles. Tire pressure was 33. Drove in comfort mode all the time and used cruise control for about 250 miles. Speed was between 65 and 75 depending on the speed limit. This is after the first service, best I have seen on mine so far. Overall I drove 900 miles on this trip and averaged 25.6 with mostly highway miles. These numbers are with 1 passenger and around 40 pounds of cargo in the trunk.

In city I usually average 19.8 but I drive with a heavy foot whenever I can and commute to and from work is usually at speeds of around 20. I stick to either costco or shell 93 octane.

The RDX is not forgiving for people who drive aggressively. Basically, if you're the kind of person who speeds up and slows down a lot while driving or likes to floor it at green light changes, you're going to get pretty bad numbers, as people have said. My commute has some pretty steep hills, so on the uphill side my informal mileage meter is pretty bad, but when I hit the downhills I can let off the gas and coast down at about 60 mph, so my meter hits 50 (the full bar). Doing stuff like that, my cumulative mileage was around 25 mpg. Then, during the winter, something happened where my cumulative mileage tanked to around 20 mpg. I hadn't changed my driving habits, so the only thing I could think of was that I was using remote start and it must have been using a lot of gas to do the full blast heating. I don't know if that's true or not, but I stopped using remote start and have since recovered my average. Unfortunately, that sort of means that if I want to maintain my mileage (and I do), I wasted $400 getting remote start because I won't use it.

I get about 24 average on 91 gas. Haven't pumped premium 93 in it yet, only regular 89 and 91.

I’m getting between 23 and 25 on my daily commute. Mostly secondary roads. Highway is just under 27.

Since my last posting in late April I've put another 4k & now have 9500 miles. Have not seen A rapid change to MPG. I use mostly Exxon "top tier" 93 octane gas & still get an average of 20-21 mpg; maybe closer to 21 when I'm in Comfort mode & I keep the engine on at lights & stop signs. While I'm sure it saves some gas I hate to have it start & stop. My driving local & highway ratio is about the same. I did see on one 120 mile all highway trip using cruse control, mpg was about 27-28. That's about what my 2014 RDX AWD with V6 got.

MY APRIL POSTING >>>> I have an Advance AWD with 5500 miles. I keep in mostly in Sport. I put 37 PSI in the all-season tires. I drive about 70% local & 30% highway miles & am not too hard on acceleration. I'm getting just 20-21 mpg which about the same as my 2014 RDX with V6. I'm hoping once its broken in a few thousand miles, in I see closer to the claimed 23 mpg.

I pump once every 2 weeks. This is how far I get with one tank of gas. This is mostly city driving downtown. Not impressed but not surprised.

Sorry about glare on the tachometer...

This represents 90% highway at 75-79 MPH round trip from Tucson to Phoenix, 2 passengers, comfort mode, no AC use.

Wow JB! That is awesome. I drive 30 miles round trip to work with mostly stop and go driving every day for work. 20.4 is the average. Can't complain because I was driving a Dodge Challenger which was 14 mpg.

Same here. Driving in NYC I get pretty much the same. Was able to get it to 28mpg using 93 oct. from NYC to PA though on the thruway and was happy with that.

I have 9000 on my 2019 Aspec. On the B side, I have never reset it and am averaging 24.9 mpg.

The best mileage that I had gotten on highway driving was 28 miles per gallon doing 70 miles an hour.

Trip computer says 24.8, and that's with over 50% of total mileage on road trips - CO to MD; MD to WV and back; MD to DE and back; MD to Charlottesville and back; MD to Williamsburg and back.

(Btw ... Sorry if the attachment is haywire -- mod feel free to delete)

Mpg

A little over 10k miles and getting between 20-21 in sport mode and mixed urban/country driving. Costco 93 octane.
This is using the displayed mileage. I need to do a calculated MPG to see if the gauge is accurate
