Curious to see what everyone’s getting for gas mileage

Getting 24.4 on almost all highway driving (trip to Florida from PA) on I95. I noticed that when I went from 65 to 75 MPH, milage dropped from 27 to 23. I used both 89 and 91 fuel, did not notice any difference, and am considering using 87 since all highway on the return trip - its as low as 203 in South Carolina while Premium is 279.
Not sure I can justify that extra 70 cents per gallon

Advance FWD mostly suburban driving, using regular unleaded, not premium fuel, comfort mode. Averaging over 27 mpg
WOW, didn't realize it was going to be such big images!
Second image is a pix of my dash just now showing 28.5 mpg after 116 miles since fill up.
The low price /gallon on the 2/16/19 fill up was due to 70 cents off from supermarket fuel points.
And yes, fuel is cheap fight now in Southern AZ.
Very happy with the mpg.

Over 4 months later, still averaging 19mpg
I live on the Peninsula in the Bay Area. My commute involves a climb uphill and heavy traffic so I have accepted 19 mpg as my new reality. Still a little disappointing, though.

Average 17.7 MPG. I do mostly city driving. On the highway it doesn’t get any better. I’ll be lucky to get 18 mpg. Car is always in comfort mode. I don’t drive like a maniac. Slow and easy on the gas petal. Brought to dealer last week to look at gasoline smell in exhaust at startup. Dealer said this is normal for a turbo engine until the engine get to proper temp. Also dealer said mpg will go up after 7k miles breakin and as the weather get warmer?! Wow, that’s not right. I plan to change the oil out with full synthetic. The OD is still 1400 miles.

I am getting 21-23mpg in normal driving after about 6000 miles, which is often about 50% highway. I mostly drive "softly" and rarely get on it, so have been a little disappointed. A recent trip during which I mostly drove about 70mph with cruise control on, yielded just over 25. I followed a friend with a 2018 X3 and he got over 30. The RDX is definitely not the gas mileage champ of its class.

Too early to tell about MPG. Only 1600 milies. Premium (COSTCO) gets better mileage, but not sure of the percent increase verses regular. Been using BJ's which is not Top Tier so trying to drive the extra miles to COSTCO at least every third tank. My 2016 MB GLC 300 is very similar. Turbo DI four with about 241 HP and a nine speed manual. Its "broken in" and gets better mileage. MB will get 30 MPG on a really easy drive where the speed limits are at 55 mph. Seldom less than 28 mpg highway. Best on the RDX is a 27.8. Definitely pay an MPG price for the 272 HP with premium. Really love the Safety features, but the Nav doesn't even equal a $169 Garmin. Really scary stories about "frozen" intake sensors that sets off every warning light. Winter is almost over so hopefully a fix before next winter. Hope Auto Android solves the Nav issues. Broke my rule about buying first year model.

I have an Advance AWD with 5500 miles. I keep in mostly in Sport. I put 37 PSI in the all-season tires. I drive about 70% local & 30% highway miles & am not too hard on acceleration. I’m getting just 20-21 mpg which about the same as my 2014 RDX with V6. I’m hoping once its broken in a few thousand miles, in I see closer to the claimed 23 mpg.

I’m pleased, but hopeful
Hi all. I have around 1600 miles on my car now, and am running with 91 octane Premium gas. I have used Costco Top Tier since my first fill (I doubt the dealer did that with my initial full tank. My initial MPG was around 21, today it was 24.6 on average. I’m driving around on Sport setting.....I tried Comfort for around 40 miles and don’t like the steering feel. I didn’t notice any change in mileage calculated by th car with the different settings

I don’t typically get this but I got this on a 70 mile trip trying to drive as efficient as possible, although I did pass a car or two also ha ha , as I recall it only dropped another mpg after about 130 miles total, but typically I’m in the 20-22mpg but I have a heavy foot, this specific trip was going 55-60mph on some curvy hilly roads

Not quite 2500 miles and almost all city at/under 45mph and I have 2 MPG trip meters
A: since driving off dealer lot in December: 21.1 mpg
B: last 700 miles: 22.5 mpg
I'm about to reset B again and test a theory that i'm currently getting close to 23 since it seems to be better as engine "breaks in". I started brand new in the low 19's and its slowly raised to mid 22's AVERAGE.
I tested another poster's SNOW=SUPER-ECONO mode. It probably only detunes the throttle tip-in but I swear it feels like it turns off the turbo unless you mad the gas pedal. I immediately saw better city MPG. In less than a week I saw that B trip meter go from 21.5 to 22.5.

We went from Mesa to Tucson and back yesterday for our granddaughter’s concert. We got a late start so I was hauling pretty good averaging 84 MPH. Mileage at that speed with AC on was around 19 mpg on the car’s computer. On the way home I slowed it down a bit to around 80 MPH and mileage improved to around 21 mpg. A little disappointing but the way it is. I am hoping that when I try using Comfort mode and setting the cruise to 80 I get some better mileage.
Do any of you know if using Comfort mode changes shift points to facilitate better mileage?

Comfort mode should provide the best fuel economy of the available modes, as you questioned, Comfort mode does up shift at lower RPMs.

I was hovering at 20-21 in mixed suburban driving and 24 in highway driving with cruise set at a steady 75 mph.
Now that the odometer turned past 9,000 miles, that same 350 mile trip is netting 27.5 mpg I'm each direction and I'm getting 23 around town.
A pleasant surprise.
I normally use Shell 93 but, used Marathon 93 and Sunoco 93 last week and got the same mpg.

Just scrolled over to trip “B” that hasn’t been reset since the first tank of gas. About 8,000 miles and averaging 21.4 mpg. I’d say that’s 70-80% suburban driving and 93 octane Costco mostly.

Blew my mind, I did a 170 mile road trip yesterday and got 26mpg on it, was very hilly and I drove in sport+ through a bunch of it, was about 65-70 degrees out on premium Costco gas

I have the AWD and get around 25.5-26mpg on mixed highway/city. Driving from NYC to MD I hit about 26.7-27.5 mpg driving at a constant, non-aggressive 80-85mph.

Averaging 20 mpg
I've had my ASPEC SH-AWD since October, currently with about 7500 miles on it. I'm still averaging 20 mpg, but as I have mentioned before, I live in the Bay Area where traffic is pretty heavy and my commute to work involves a long, steep climb to get to the freeway.

Sorry to resurrect this long dead thread, but this is the first really good trip I have gotten to take in the RDX.
Live in Chattanooga and got to go to the North Georgia Mountains for a long weekend. Filled up (premium) before we left and filled up within 50 miles of home. Here is a picture of the dash:

MPG is improved but not where as advertised. The car Trip Computer indicates 18 MPG’s but according to my tracking it’s closer to 19.x MPG.
I always use Shell Top Tier gas (93 Octane). I also get $.30 off / gallon fill up using Fuel Saving Program.

Did a test yesterday now that I broke 5,000 miles. Fresh fill up of E-Free 93 Premium and hit the highway, which is mountainous between Asheville and Raleigh, NC. After 100 miles, I was right at about 28.3 mpg. Cruise set to 73 and I do have the OEM roof rack.

An update: Since installing the KTuner I am getting worse mileage, but greater smiles. I am looking forward to our next road trip to see if it cruises at 80 mph and returns to the 25-25 I was getting. Now in mixed driving since the KTuner, I rarely break 20 mpg

I am running regular gas, top tier, but regular.
I filled up today at Shell, and regular was $2.99 and the premium was $3.69.
I have not felt any lack of power, as I firmly believe that this is the Accord 2.0 engine which is rated for regular at a bit fewer horses and torque, while the RDX is rated for premium at a bit more horses and torque. It looks, to me, comparing curves, that premium gives about 10 lb-ft more torque at a100 higher RPMs, and can sustain that longer in the rev range, thereby boosting HP, due to the math. On a long drive, I will switch to premium and see how that goes.
