Hi All,
Attempting to add a JL sub to the system.
What im hoping to find is an un-equalized audio output so I can feed that to the sub amp and allow the crossover for this to operating independently from the head unit EQ.
Thinking I will drastically reduce bass level on head unit and increase bass to the new sub.
Any one have ideas on where to find such an output?
Thanks!!

sounds like the only option would be to use output speaker wires for the sub as signal, not sure what they have the cross over set at for that sub, but that would be your best option in this case

Ah yeah that does make sense given the surround setup. Hooking up to the sub output makes sense...kind of blows my idea of taking bass out of the other speakers, but might not matter.
Thinking of of putting the amp and sub in the hatch floor....could be pretty sweet.

You're not missing anything. The ELS "3D" in the Advance is really good bone stock for listening to classic rock, IMO. Randomly swapping speakers is likely to screw it up, not improve it.
If you want to rattle house windows a half mile away with synthetic boom-boom crap, you might feel the need for a powered subwoofer.
Now ask me what I really think.
But FWIW I agree that using the subwoofer output is your best bet for connecting an aftermarket powered sub. I can pretty much guarantee the other speaker analog outputs are heavily "massaged" with digital equalization.
But I wouldn't do this to "take the bass load off the other speakers". If you have a Tech or Advance with the ceiling speakers, getting the sources closer to your ears rather than your ankles is HUGE. I think if you dial that back, it will make things sound muddier, not clearer.
